BeraTone’s 1st Private Playtest Has Started
The first private playtest for BeraTone is now live. It’s available for eligible players and marks the start of the game’s multi-phase Play2Earn campaign. This early access phase gives players a chance to try out the game, earn rewards, and share feedback that could help shape the final version.
This playtest is a pre-alpha version of BeraTone. It gives players a look at what the full game might become. You can explore the world, try out key features, and help improve the game with your feedback. In return, you can earn rewards and access exclusive content.
Players will be exploring Bera Island, a cozy 3D space filled with non-playable characters (NPCs), quests, and a relaxed social world. You can talk with other players, complete quests, and enjoy casual MMO-style gameplay.
You will play as a bear in a third-person view. Your goal is to gather resources like wood, ore, and seashells. You’ll be chopping trees, mining rocks, and collecting items. These materials can be crafted into useful tools and gear to complete quests or prepare for combat.
Enemies in the game include cute but aggressive slimes. You’ll need to upgrade your gear to handle them. You can sell collected resources for in-game currency. This currency is important if you want to buy better tools and equipment.

Besides combat and crafting, the game includes fun platforming sections. You can jump across cliffs and gaps to reach hidden areas. This makes exploring more exciting.
Scattered across the island are collectibles called Honeyblobs. They’re hidden in different places. Finding them gives you an extra reason to look around and explore every corner.
Although this is an early version, it still comes with real benefits. The developers have launched a Play2Earn campaign alongside the playtest. Players who complete quests can earn airdrop allocations. These rewards are possible thanks to support from the Berachain Foundation’s “Request for Broposal” program. Players may be able to earn $BERA tokens through this campaign.
The playtest started on April 14. Eligible players will have a few weeks to take part and earn rewards. No end date has been shared yet.
How to Join the Playtest and Earn
To join the private playtest, you need to hold a Founder’s Sailcloth NFT. This NFT is available on the Ethereum network and can be bought on OpenSea. At the time of writing, the floor price is 0.3706 ETH.
Once you have the NFT, you can access the playtest. You will also get the Diamond Pows role in the game’s official Discord server. This role gives access to exclusive chats, giveaways, and a free mint for the BeraToners NFT collection.
Other in-game benefits for holders include free items, daily EXP buffs, better stats, more inventory space, fee discounts, lottery tickets, and lower housing fees. There could be more perks added later.

If you own the required NFT, head to BeraTone’s official itch.io page. Download the game for Windows or MacOS. Connect your wallet with the NFT to start playing.
BeraTone will eventually be free to play. More playtests are planned in phases. Each one will add new gameplay elements. It’s not confirmed yet whether future tests will also require NFT ownership or if they’ll be open to everyone.
BeraTone is a farming life sim MMO built with blockchain tech. Earlier this year, the team raised $2 million in a seed round to support development. This playtest is just the beginning of what looks like a big journey for the game and its community.
