Axie Infinity, the popular blockchain-based game featuring cute, collectible creatures called axies, has just released its first-ever axie accessories. These limited-edition festive accessories are available to players who release axies between now and January 3rd, with 20 different accessories of varying rarities to collect. After the event ends, the accessories will become collectible non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that can be equipped to axies or traded on the marketplace.

The launch of axie accessories is an important step towards fortifying the emotional connection between players and their axies. Accessories play a crucial role in the Axie Core experience, allowing players to express their personalities through their axies and forming stronger bonds with them. As players bond with their axies, they will be able to customize them and enhance their appearance, expressing their own personal style and interests through their digital companions.

In addition to the release of axie accessories, the game has also introduced a sleek new axie management page. This page will be used for equipping accessories, upgrading body parts, and more as the Axie Core experience is expanded upon. Players can access the new management page by scrolling over an axie in their inventory and clicking “manage”.

Not only do axie accessories add style and personality to players’ digital companions, they also help balance and stimulate the economy in the game. By encouraging the buying and breeding of axies, accessories help to control the population and stimulate a cycle that mirrors the natural population equilibrium. As a special reward for the most hardcore players, known as whales, the game has reserved special Mystic accessories for the top releasers.

Accessory Rarity

There are four categories of accessories in Axie Infinity: Mystic, Epic, Rare, and Common. Mystic accessories are the rarest, with only 0.27% of accessories falling into this category. Epic accessories are slightly less rare, with 1.92% of accessories in this category. Rare accessories make up 17.25% of the total, while Common accessories are the most plentiful at 80.56%. Players can check out a rarity guide to see what accessories they might receive when they release axies during the event.

After the event ends on January 3rd, the axie accessories will become collectibles that can be equipped to axies or traded on the marketplace. Future generations of Lunacians, the name for the inhabitants of the Axie Infinity world, will need to buy the accessories from players on the marketplace to get them. The release of axie accessories is another step towards the game’s goal of enabling axies to become increasingly personalized reflections of their owners and forming enduring bonds between real-world players and their digital companions. Players who want to snag all 20 accessories and make future Lunacians jealous should release their axies before the event ends on January 3rd.
