Darewise Entertainment, the developer behind "Life Beyond," recently announced that it had successfully raised $3.5 million in a token pre-sale, debunking any premature notions of the metaverse's demise.

Darewise Entertainment's CEO, Benjamin Charbit, expressed his enthusiasm about the recent funding, emphasizing the meaningful support from a diverse group of investors who not only believe in the project but also encompass a wide spectrum of gaming and Web3 culture. "Life Beyond" – An Ambitious Sci-Fi Adventure

"Life Beyond" stands as an ambitious open-world sci-fi game where players embark on the journey to construct a new civilization powered by NFTs and a tokenized digital economy. This project's underlying Darewise token, set to launch early next year, was developed in collaboration with Horizon Labs, the team responsible for the Ethereum-based ApeCoin (APE) token, which made its debut in March 2022.

Darewise Entertainment, established in 2018, aims to construct its metaverse ecosystem around Bitcoin Ordinals, a sensation akin to NFTs. The Ordinals protocol allows users to "inscribe" images, text, and even video games onto the Bitcoin blockchain, creating BRC-20 tokens. Notably, these inscriptions are digital assets that are digitally recorded down to a single satoshi, the smallest unit of Bitcoin.

Darewise Entertainment, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, secured the backing of prominent investors in its token sale, including Gamefi Ventures, London Real Ventures, Citizen Capital, Blocore, and Animoca Ventures. The Darewise token is poised to serve as the native currency within its metaverse, facilitating various in-game transactions.

The metaverse, often described as a persistent and shared virtual world where users interact through 3D avatars, represents the future of the internet. This concept transcends traditional online experiences and envisions a fully immersive digital universe.

Animoca Brands, a Hong Kong-based software company established in 2014, has grown substantially, boasting a valuation of $5.9 billion by September 2022. The company is renowned for creating The Sandbox, a popular Ethereum-based open-world video game that has attracted high-profile celebrities like Snoop Dogg and Paris Hilton to its virtual realm.
