What is Pixelmon?

Playable digital collectibles based on NFT are combined with elements of an open-world role-playing game in the blockchain-based game Pixelmon. Evolving, training, and capturing monsters, or Pixelmons, is the aim of this game. These are entities that are integral to the gameplay and may be owned and traded on the Ethereum blockchain. To provide a degree of strategy and growth, players evolve their Pixelmons using in-game resources and NFTs called serums. Pixelmon has attracted attention for its innovative approach, featuring a dual-token economy. The primary utility token, $MON, supports various in-game transactions and staking options. Recent updates include interactive features like PvP battles, land management, and social hubs, following a rebranding under new leadership.

About Pixelmon Hunting Season

August 28 marks the beginning of Pixelmon's new "Hunting Season" event. Players can wager their Pixelmon NFTs during this event to gain $MON, the primary currency of the platform. There are three stages to the event, and each offers a unique opportunity to win prizes.

• Phase 1: Accumulation:

During the Accumulation Phase, players can stake their Pixelmon NFTs to accumulate $MON. The amount of $MON earned depends on the rarity of the staked NFT, with rarer NFTs generating higher rewards. This phase lasts about a month, depending on the number of days in the month. Note that $MON accumulated in this phase is locked and cannot be accessed until the next phase. If players unstake their NFTs before the end of this phase, they lose all accumulated $MON.

• Phase 2: Drip:

The Drip Phase follows the Accumulation Phase and lasts for 20 days. Here, players can collect the $MON earned during the previous phase. They can claim their $MON daily or wait until the end of the phase to collect the full amount. If players unstake their NFTs during this phase, they forfeit all accumulated and locked $MON. However, any $MON that has been unlocked but not yet claimed remains available.

• Phase 3: Grace:

In the Grace Period, players have an extra month to claim any uncollected $MON. This phase ensures that all participants have enough time to retrieve their rewards before the event ends.

Hunting Season will host the MON Protocol’s website. Future seasons may introduce new rewards or features.
