Game7 launches $100M Grant Program to advance Web3 gaming

On November 28, Game7 announced on Twitter the launch of its blockchain gaming accelerator grant to further support industry building on web3 and metaverse. The grant will contain funding of up to $100 million.

The grant will go to projects and builders that are focused on major factors that will drive the blockchain industry further such as:

• Technology
• Events
• Diversity
• Education
• Research

The allocated funds will help fund these ongoing initiatives to incentivize the proper growth of web3 games. Additionally, the developers will also gain tech support and mentoring through hosting online or in-person events such as conferences and workshops.

What is Game7?

Game7 is a collective build to accelerate the blockchain gaming industry through grants, strategic initiatives, and education. Its community seeks to help shape and define the gaming industry by defining gaming standards and funding open-source software.

The community believes that infrastructures for Web3 gaming and metaverses should be public, open-source, and compatible and its milestone-based grants are a key way for the ecosystem to generate revenue. This ensures that the gaming industry will be sustainable, equitable, and fair.

Its funding mainly derives from a decentralized treasury in which it supports games on blockchain ecosystems such as Polygon and Solana.
