Moonfrost’s Alpha Release 5, multiplayer life-simulation powered by Solana, brings new updates and improvements, though it may not be the biggest update so far. Players can expect exciting changes like a new game mode and numerous adjustments to enhance the overall gaming experience. The most notable change is the updated Build Mode, which now includes features like more accurate item placement and wall occlusion. Roofs are also mentioned in the updates but will not be available just yet. Along with this, the introduction of an XP system allows players to level up by completing tasks and crafting blueprints, making progression more rewarding.

The Task System in Moonfrost has undergone a major overhaul with the introduction of Task System 2.0. This update promises a more dynamic and engaging gameplay experience, with special XP-based tasks and unlockable features. Daily Tasks have become even more important, especially for earning Craftcoin, which is essential for participating in the House Hunters event. Additionally, two new NPCs have been added to the village, making the task progression more interactive and story-driven.

The latest update includes several quality-of-life improvements to make the game smoother. Players will now be able to change their username through the account portal. The update also includes various UI tweaks and enhanced anti-bot/multi-accounting measures. A better password reset system and improved tech server support are also part of the update, aiming to reduce connection issues and improve overall game stability.

The new House Hunters event in Moonfrost introduces a creative gameplay mode that lets players build and decorate structures using blueprints. These blueprints can be earned through farming and completing tasks. Building in this mode doesn’t require resources, but players will need to unlock the blueprints through regular gameplay. The first event is scheduled for January 2025, where players can compete to create the best builds. The winners will receive SHARDs, unique blueprints, and rare items, with SHARDs potentially linked to the upcoming $FROST token.

How to Participate in the New Alpha Release

Moonfrost Alpha Release 5 will be available soon, though the exact date is not yet confirmed. The update will be available through the Epic Games Store, as the standalone launcher will not be supported this time. If you played the game using the previous custom launcher, you will receive a code that can be redeemed in the Epic Games Store. New players can sign up for the closed alpha on the official Moonfrost website before December 9th, with 1000 new codes available. These codes will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis, so it’s important to act quickly.

As with previous alpha releases, all player progress will be reset at the end of Alpha Release 5, except for SHARDs. However, players who complete the task event will earn a limited edition collectible, which can be kept after the release. This collectible will be locked to the player's account and usable in future releases. Additionally, players who participate will get early access to a new gameplay feature in the 6th closed alpha.
