WorldShards’ New Beginnings Contest Invites Players to Build and Win

November 2024 – WorldShards, the popular sandbox MMORPG, has announced its latest creative event, the "New Beginnings" contest. The competition invites players to showcase their in-game building skills through 60-second videos, offering verified participants a chance to win exclusive rewards, including Islands of Tranquility and NFTs.

WorldShards, which takes place in the enchanted realm of Murlandia, provides gamers with an immersive experience on floating islands. Traditional MMO activities like fighting monsters and finishing missions are combined with special features like crafting, riddles, and diplomacy in this game.

WorldShards' sandbox methodology gives users the ability to craft and trade to influence the game's economy. Additionally, web2 and web3 users are supported by the platform. Although the web2 version is accessible on Steam, the web3 version improves player involvement by allowing in-game objects to be traded as NFTs.

About the Contest

Verified users are encouraged to express their creativity by creating original in-game landscapes as part of the New Beginnings contest. To participate, players must submit a 60-second video showcasing their creations on the official WorldShards Discord channel. Submissions can also be uploaded to YouTube, with a strict one-video limit per participant.

The contest is open to all verified accounts, and unverified players can complete verification via the Discord channel. Submissions close on 9th December 2024 at 5:30 PM.

WorldShards has announced an array of rewards for the contest’s winners:

• First Place: Large Island of Tranquility
• Second Place: Medium Island of Tranquility
• Third Place: Small Island of Tranquility

An Audience Choice Award will be given to the video with the most votes, rewarding the winner with a Large Island of Bliss. Players who gather over 20 fire emoji reactions on their submission in Discord will also receive an NFT loot box.

Beyond the contest, the game’s Comfort Leaderboard has been revamped with new rewards:

• 1st Place: Large Island of Bliss
• 2nd Place: Medium Island of Bliss
• 3rd Place: Small Island of Bliss

Winners of the New Beginnings contest will be announced on 13th December 2024, with the Audience Choice Award revealed shortly after voting concludes.

WorldShards is hosting two other major events alongside the contest:

1. Craft ‘Em All
   Players earn points by crafting items like weapons, armor, and tools. Progress is tracked on two leaderboards for collectible and standard items. Rewards include Islands of Tranquility, Bliss, Harmony, and thousands of Gems.
2. Runes and Essence
   Participants collect runes and essences to earn Rush Points, with varying point values based on item types.Islands of Joy, Happiness, and Delight are among the rewards, along with Epic, Legendary, and Rare Artifacts.

Both events started on 9th November 2024 and are ongoing, with winners and rewards to be announced soon.
