Season One of Eternum Begins

Season One of Eternum goes live on April 30th. Season Passes are now available. This update brings in a lot of new content, features, and improvements for both casual and hardcore players. Season One marks the real beginning of this on-chain grand strategy MMO. If you’ve been waiting to jump in or thinking about coming back, now is a great time.

Compared to the preview season, this update is massive. Real-time battles are now part of the game. Combat no longer relies on waiting for timers. Instead, everything happens instantly. You need to act fast and think smart. Troops now use stamina during fights. This limits how many attacks you can make, which means spamming no longer works. You have to plan every move.

Troop tiers have been upgraded. There are now three tiers for each class. Units like Archers, Knights, and Paladins at T2 or T3 are much stronger than base units. Some are up to seven times more powerful. The physics system is different now too. Only one troop can stand on each hex. That changes how battles unfold. You can’t move through your other troops anymore. This forces you to choose smart paths and setups. Terrain matters as well. Placing troops on the right biome hexes gives an advantage.

Autonomous NPCs are a new addition. These include mercenaries, bandits, and rogue factions. They roam the map. They are powered by the Daydreams agent framework. You’ll get more dynamic PvE moments because they aren’t scripted. If you defeat them, you can get tokens and loot. These encounters make the world feel more alive.

Production is easier now thanks to the new Labor system. Labor is a universal resource that you can convert into anything. It helps new players get started faster. But there’s a catch. The system is deflationary. Converting resources back and forth causes a loss. For example, turning stone into labor and then back into stone won’t give you the same amount. The deeper resource system is still in place for veterans who want to min-max their builds.

Infrastructure has received a major upgrade. Season 0 supported over 800 players. Season One can now handle 20x more. Graphics are better. Loading and syncing times are faster. UX is smoother. The game now feels more refined and polished. It still runs in the browser but now looks and feels like a proper modern strategy game.

Play On the Go with the Companion App

A new mobile companion app has been added. It doesn’t offer the full experience. But you can make key decisions and actions when away from your PC. It helps keep your progress going even when you're not fully logged in.

Villages are the new casual-friendly option. They cost less and are easier to manage. You can’t lose your Village. No one can conquer it. That makes it a safe way to test out the game. Villages allow you to build a simple economy and field one army. You can explore at your own pace. Just note: Villages can be pillaged, so stay alert.

MetaMask and Phantom are among the other wallet alternatives that are currently supported. Onboarding is quicker and easier. Plus, you can run the game locally if you want to. This improves performance and allows mods and other tools to be used. It’s a good option for tech-savvy players who want more control.

Season One kicks off Eternum’s real economy. You can now earn and lose $LORDS tokens. This adds high stakes. Smart decisions can build your treasury. Bad ones might empty it. Some players will play with careful strategy. Others might get lucky. Either way, the stakes are real now.

There are two main ways to play. Villages are cheaper and safer. They give you a taste of the game with limited risk. You build one army, grow your economy, and learn the ropes. Realms are for the full experience. You get a city-state, can lead multiple armies, and unlock special perks. But Realms can be conquered. If that happens, everything is gone. Your resources. Your troops. Your $LORDS tokens. It’s a risk, but with it comes reward. Every Realm is different. Some have unique resources. This might change your strategy.

Season Passes go live on April 30th. “Settling Mode” starts on May 7th. “Empire Mode” begins on May 14th. That’s when the real action begins. You’ll need a Season Pass to join with a Realm. Passes and Realms are available through Realms.World.

Eternum Season One is here. Whether you're looking for casual gameplay, intense competition, or a way to earn in a deep on-chain world, there’s something for you.
