Cirque du Soleil Joins The Sandbox

The headline feature of Alpha Season 6 is a partnership with Cirque du Soleil. Two new Experiences bring the magic of Cirque’s live performances into The Sandbox. Players can start as mannequin Avatars and then transform into colorful Cirque costumes. These costumes are not only visual but also functional. Each transformation grants Ethos Points, which are needed for a share of the 250,000 SAND pool. Ten Avatars are available across five rarity levels, ranging from 6 SAND for Common to 999 SAND for the Legendary Statue of Liberty Avatar. The Statue of Liberty gives the highest EP reward so far at 5,000 EP.

Season 6 introduces a rebuilt Alpha Hub. The Hub is more open and includes tutorials, daily events, and guided quests. Players can now use two new Abilities: Dash and Glide. The Hub also features nine Partner Pavilions. Each pavilion requires a Partner Pass and rewards 4 SAND, with a total of 36 SAND if all are unlocked. Four more pavilions are tied to LAND ownership and open only when the community hits collective EP milestones.

The Battle Pass has two tracks: Free and Premium. It holds 35 levels with SAND and NFT rewards. Reaching level 35 on the Premium track unlocks the SAND Pool Key. This key grants entry to the 250,000 SAND prize pool. A player’s share depends on their EP compared to all Pool Key holders. EP comes from quests, Avatars, events, and referrals. Jurassic World Dinosaur NFTs give an EP boost, ranging from 5% to 50% depending on rarity.

Premium Pass Rewards

The Premium Pass costs 30 SAND and comes in limited supply. It includes one Cirque Mannequin Avatar, one Dinosaur Egg, nine Partner Passes, rare gear NFTs, and an exclusive Memorabilia item. The Premium track allows players to earn up to 42 SAND and unlock the SAND Pool Key. Players with the key will then compete for a share of the 250,000 SAND pool based on total EP earned.

Quests are a core part of Season 6. There are three types. Normal Quests reward 5 EP. Adventure Quests, about 30 in total, reward 90 EP. Hardcore Quests reward 45 EP. Spotlight Experiences run for 24 hours and give an extra 20 EP. Social Challenges return as well, with 15 EP for posting screenshots on X. Friend referrals also matter. Each referred friend who reaches level 10 gives 300 EP, up to a maximum of 3,000 EP.

Avatar Ownership and Weekly Bonuses

Owning Avatar NFTs boosts EP every week. The rewards are based on rarity, starting at 10 EP for Common and going up to 300 EP for Legendary. Bonuses are added weekly on Tuesdays. Two new Avatar collections will also launch during the season, each giving a one-time 200 EP bonus.

LAND Owners receive extra benefits. As the community earns EP, four milestones unlock exclusive rooms inside the Hub. Each room contains a chest with 10 SAND. If all four milestones are reached, LAND Owners collect a total of 40 SAND. This system encourages cooperation across the player base.

Free Track Rewards

Players without a Premium Pass can still join in. The Free Battle Pass offers up to 6 SAND, nine Equipment NFTs, and one Memorabilia item. Free players can earn EP like Premium users but do not get the SAND Pool Key or access to the 250,000 SAND pool.

Season 6 is longer than Season 5 and adds more branded content. Movement is more fluid with Dash and Glide. Nineteen Experiences use at least one of these Abilities, and 12 are built around them. A Save Data system will apply to 16 Experiences, letting players pick up where they left off. With Cirque du Soleil, new Avatars, and a stronger progression system, Alpha Season 6 is set to be the biggest yet.
