Mobile-based online pool games have been a massively popular genre with their combination of lighthearted casual fun combined with the frictionless ease of access to be played simply on your phone.

Eyeball Games, the renowned Singapore-based mobile game developer, is set to bring its expertise on pool gaming with the release of its upcoming web3 game, Eyeball Pool. To be built on Immutable zkEVM, this NFT-powered game will be released as a mobile title, available for both iOS and Android devices, and is aiming for a Q1 2024 release.

Eyeball Games’s Karsten Niemer and Thomas Elgaard were the mastermind developers behind the original web2 version of the game, Ball Pool. The game was arguably the most popular pool mobile game, garnering over a billion downloads and over 10 million daily active users.

Based on the recently released screenshots of the web3 game, Eyeball Pool will offer a similar gameplay experience to its predecessor, but with the added thrill of blockchain technology.

Just like its predecessor, the game is set to offer PvP(player-vs-player) and tournament-based game modes. However, its standout feature is definitely the new perks and features coming with its integration of NFTs and blockchain technology, allowing players to own and trade unique pool cues as well as to receive tokens from its gameplay.

During the game's initial launch, Eyeball Games sold out their mint of 4,001 genesis NFTs called Balldroids Gen 0. Holders of these NFTs will have the privilege to claim exclusive game starter packs, which include NFT cues, in-game currency, and an NFT season pass that unlocks a paid rewards path.

In addition to its captivating PvP and tournament modes, Eyeball Pool offers an exclusive perk for Balldroid holders. They will enjoy a perpetual ad-free experience once the mobile game is officially launched, enhancing their gameplay immersion.
