Pirate Nation’s New Season Begins

On November 14, Proof of Play, the developer behind the popular web3 game Pirate Nation, launched Season 3. There are a ton of new gaming features, updated leaderboards, and an enhanced staking system in this season. Season 3 offers both experienced and novice players fresh upgrades with an emphasis on rewarding loyal players and improving the in-game economy.

Players can collect pirates, go on adventurous adventures, and find treasures in this game.These adventures reward players with crafting materials, pirate gold, and other in-game items. As players level up, they unlock abilities and enhance their characters, making Pirate Nation a captivating on-chain experience that brings a rich world of adventure to life.

Season 3 introduces content designed to keep players engaged and entertained. Among the key updates are two new leaderboards—the Social Leaderboard and the Collector Leaderboard—which join the existing Booty Leaderboard to give players more ways to track achievements. Each leaderboard targets different player interests:

• Booty Leaderboard: Rewards skill-based accomplishments.
• Collector Leaderboard: Measures player progress through in-game asset ownership.
• Social Leaderboard: Ranks social engagement, based on likes, retweets, and referrals.

The update also raises leveling caps for Pirates and Ships, allowing players to boost their avatars to level 35 and their ships to level five. With tougher challenges and new crafting items, players can now create and customize valuable in-game assets, adding depth to the game’s economy.

Pirate Nation now includes an improved staking system that rewards long-term players. Players can stake their tokens to earn Proof of Play points, a feature designed to increase commitment. This system includes an incrementing multiplier that grows the longer players stake their tokens, enhancing rewards and in-game progression.

Since Pirate Nation’s launch, Proof of Play has seen impressive growth, with over 300 million on-chain transactions across its Apex and Boss chains. Initially hosted on the Apex chain, high transaction volumes led to the addition of Boss Chain, a second chain that enhances scalability.
