Netmarble, a South Korean mobile game developer and publisher, has announced a partnership with Mysten Labs, a software company dedicated to prospering web3, to develop the highly-anticipated metaverse game, Grand Cross: Metaworld.

Sui network, PoS(Proof of Stake)-powered layer 1 blockchain, will power Grand Cross: Metaword moving forward. This technology will allow the massive open-world game to support thousands of simultaneous users in various cities and neighborhoods using its wide range of development at both high speed and low costs.

The network was created by Mysten Labs and its members are former Meta developers who previously worked on Project Libra. Aside from its high throughput and rich on-chain assets, it primarily offers great user-friendly Web3 experiences for all gamers of shapes and sizes.

Grand Cross: Metaworld will be a quintessential metaverse experience where thousands of users can simultaneously socialize featuring a vast and expansive world for players to explore. Grand Cross allows players to design their avatars and their own digital spaces using technology such as webcams and mobile cameras to personalize their experience.

The team has recently released a trailer primarily composed of in-game footage. The trailer features the various areas and activities you can do inside the game. However, the most shocking part of the trailer is the fact that it's all gameplay.

In addition to the trailer, the game has also been cited as including tools for the creation of V-tuber models. V-tuber models are anime-inspired virtual avatars generated using computer graphics. This could likely inspire another generation of V-tuber, causing an explosion within the V-tuber market.

Netmarble and Mysten Labs are confident that Grand Cross: Metaworld will be a hit with gamers, and are excited to bring this innovative new game to market. The companies are aiming for a full release of the game by 2023, but fans can expect to see more information in the coming months.
