Missing Features in Early Alpha
Despite being in the early alpha stage, MetalCore still lacks several features like crafting, baronies, and the ability to use NFTs in the game. However, placeholders for these features can already be seen in the game menus. The core gameplay elements, such as walking, running, flying, and shooting, are fully functional and ready for action.
In this playtest, players have the freedom to choose from a variety of vehicles and loadouts, without the need to own any MetalCore NFTs. This feature allows everyone to explore different gameplay styles and strategies.
Metalcore has exciting events planned during Alpha 3, starting with the Kill Count event, running from July 28th to July 30th. Players must strive to secure the highest number of kills to claim a top spot on the leaderboard. The top three players will be rewarded with access to an upcoming "exhilarating and innovative program" in MetalCore. However, more details about this intriguing reward are yet to be revealed
The Kill Count contest only considers player kills, discouraging any exploitation of NPCs for points. To ensure fair play, teaming, griefing, stream sniping, and exploiting are strictly prohibited during the event. Players need to register to participate in the leaderboard, and details for the next objective will be disclosed after the current event concludes.
Introducing MetalCore
MetalCore is a web3-enabled game, combining elements of Planetside and Battlefield. This first-person/third-person sci-fi FPS boasts an array of vehicles, infantry types, and loadouts. The gameplay revolves around instanced, faction-based combat, with some battles supporting up to 100 players per side. Players will find an abundance of combat styles and support options to choose from, emphasizing coordination with teammates and faction members.
In Faction battles, each side vies for control of tactical points across the map while attempting to decimate the enemy base. Capturing these tactical points grants in-game advantages to the controlling faction. Players have limited respawns per battle, adding a strategic layer to gameplay. Once the respawns are exhausted, the player is barred from participating further in that battle, opening up opportunities for other players to take their place.
MetalCore includes both PvE and PvP zones, where players can earn FAB tokens during gameplay. These tokens will serve as currency for crafting and upgrades. Additionally, players can craft vehicles in Garages and customize them with unique skins and decals. The game also embraces the concept of Baronies or guilds, fostering a sense of community within the player base.
MetalCore caters to players with free-to-play options, ensuring accessibility to a wider audience. Moreover, the developers have implemented a Content Creator's program, providing rewards to streamers and video creators, fostering a vibrant and engaged community. As of now, the game remains in alpha testing, but with each phase, it inches closer to its grand release.
