Hytopia, a rising player in the web3 gaming space, is gearing up for a significant re-launch introducing its new 'Hychain' and surrounding ecosystem. Ahead of this, the company is set to conduct a Node Key Sale, offering owners the opportunity to run a software node for the Hytopia chain and earn TOPIA tokens as rewards.

Whitelist Sale Details

The Hytopia Node Sale is scheduled to commence on March 2nd at 2 pm PST, with the initial day exclusively reserved for individuals holding 'whitelist points.' Subsequently, the public sale will kick off on March 3rd at 2 pm PST. Accumulating whitelist points is possible through various means, including holding Hytopia Worlds and Avatars or Gray Boy NFTs. Users can also earn whitelist points by engaging in Hyroller, a social game facilitated through Zealy.

The whitelist sale unfolds in four phases, each lasting six hours, allowing participants to acquire Nodes based on their accumulated whitelist points. Notably, the whitelist points cost per node decreases with each phase, starting at 30 whitelist points per Node Key in phase 1 and reducing to 15 points in phase 2.

The monetary cost for Nodes operates on a tiered system, independent of the sale phrases. The first tier encompasses 3,183 Node licenses, each priced at 0.1 ETH. Subsequent tiers witness an escalation in price alongside a reduction in the number of licenses available for purchase. The intriguing dynamics of the sale prompt anticipation regarding whether the Node cost will persist in Tier 1 through the public sale or if all Tier 1 Nodes might sell out during phase 1, creating an element of unpredictability for prospective buyers.

Node Keys and Guardian Nodes

Node Keys are intricately linked to Guardian Nodes, the fundamental software supporting and running the Hytopia network. Guardian Nodes serve as the backbone of the distributed server system for Hychain, Hytopia's gaming blockchain. Similar to established players like Axie, Immutable, and Gala Games, Hytopia developed its own chain to streamline player onboarding and minimize gas fees.

With up to 50,000 Guardian Nodes envisioned to power Hychain, each Guardian Node requires at least one Node License Key for reward accrual. These Guardian nodes are compatible with Mac, Linux, and Windows operating systems. The Hytopia team has allocated 250 million Hytopia tokens for Guardian nodes over a three-year distribution plan. Notably, Guardian Nodes receive 25% of the transaction fees as network rewards, distributed monthly based on uptime and the number of Node License Keys paired.

Introduction to Hytopia

Originally starting as a collection of 10,000 customizable virtual worlds, Hytopia has evolved significantly. The project has expanded to feature its proprietary chain (Hychain) and token (TOPIA), moving away from its origins on Minecraft as NFT Worlds. Despite drawing inspiration from Minecraft, Hytopia integrates web3 elements into its gaming system and provides tools to empower world builders to manifest their visions.

While participation in the TOPIA token ecosystem is optional, world owners have the flexibility to integrate it, incorporating play-to-earn elements and controlling access based on NFT ownership. Equipped with a homemade launcher and a built-in NFT marketplace, Hytopia positions itself for a robust entry into the web3 gaming landscape. The highly anticipated Mainnet launch for Hytopia is expected sometime in 2024. As the project unfolds, enthusiasts and investors alike are eager to witness the impact of Hychain and the TOPIA token on the evolving web3 gaming ecosystem.
