Hackatao and the Austrian Post have collaborated for their second 'phygital' stamp collection, inspired by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Hedy Lamarr. This collection will feature 10,000 art pieces immortalizing two Austrian icons who redefined their respective eras.
Hackatao and Austrian Post Team Up for Phygital NFT Stamp Collection
Hackatao, an acclaimed duo in NFT, has collaborated with the Austrian Post to combine art and history by creating an exciting NFT stamp collection.
The NFT collection centers on honoring two famous Austrians: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the legendary composer and Hedy Lamarr, a gifted inventor and actress. All items in the collection exist both as real stamps and as digital copies on the blockchain, a concept called "phygital."
This phygital NFT collection created by this collaboration is to immortalize two Austrian icons: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Hedy Lamarr. The collection, which was designed by Hackatao, features about 10,000 limited edition NFT stamps immortalizing these two Austrian icons.
Where To Get the NFT Collection
Hackatao announced that the new phygital NFT collection will be presented on June 4th at the NFC Lisbon 2025 event. The NFC Lisbon is a major Web3 event, and this year, there is a special focus on Crypto Stamps.
The stamps can be purchased from the official Crypto Stamp Art website, at certain outlets, and also at the Mythos-Mozart Museum in Vienna.
The collection features four different designs — Mozart: The Maestro, Amadeus: The Prankster, Lamarr: The Star, and Hedy: The Mind.
Mozart: The Maestro
Mozart's understanding of music was greater than his ability to master notes. Mozart worked on more than 600 pieces for the violin, composed operas, created symphonies, and added to other genres. It is said that he was both very productive and of great influence during the Classical period.
Mozart can turn common thoughts and feelings into music through the lively brilliance of his symphonies. Every piece in his collection makes it clear that the composer will live on forever in Maestro's art.
Amadeus: The Prankster
Because he often behaved in playful and mischievous ways, some saw Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as a bit of a prankster. He earned his reputation by teasing friends and colleagues and by writing musical pieces that poked fun at composers he didn't respect, including his "A Musical Joke."
The collection captures the youthful brilliance of his compositions as well as his grown-up winks toward the divine in his music. A trickster, not designed to deceive, but to bring joy.
Lamarr: The Star
At the height of the Golden Age of Hollywood, Lamarr was one of its main stars. The public knew her best for her beauty and ability to act and she starred in successful films such as Samson and Delilah. The collection shows the woman as others perceived her: luminous, untouchable and divine.
Hedy: The Mind
While the world watched her on screen, Hedy Lamarr was also an innovator. She designed blueprints, broke codes, and dreamed of waves no eye could see. The technology that Hedy created was the foundation for WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth as we know them today.
In addition to wireless communication and frequency hopping, Lamarr developed new ideas for traffic signals, a way to make carbonated beverages and ideas for airplane wings.
Features of the Hackatao x Crypto Stamp Art
The Hackatao x Crypto Stamp Art collection is designed with the latest technology in the NFT space. As a result, there are some exciting features about these NFTs. They are:
- Soulbound: The digital NFT is permanently connected to the physical stamp, preventing anyone from selling them individually. Each stamp NFT is kept in its own online wallet, which is connected to the actual stamp.
- NFC & Packaging: Every stamp includes advanced NFC technology that can be read with any NFC-enabled smartphone to verify that the Crypto stamp has not yet been activated. It is packed with high security: the packaging has perforated sides and adhesive dots.
- Rarities: While there are four designs in the collection, the animated digital versions feature different rarities using a colored tier system. There are also glitched versions, which can be considered the rarest.
The Hackatao and Austrian Post collection proves that NFTs are letting traditional industries benefit from wider popularity and many new options. These phygital NFTs allow people to hold a piece of history in their hands and simultaneously in digital wallets.
