Renowned luxury brand Louis Vuitton is taking yet another bold step into the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The French luxury brand company has announced the launch of its upcoming phygital collection, “Treasure Trunks.”
Combining the digital and physical realms, phygital items are digital NFTs linked to physical assets. The newly introduced collection will allow clients to own a digital representation of a luxurious physical item, offering a glimpse into how luxury brands will reward their loyal customer base.
These exclusive pieces offer a bridge between the digital and physical worlds, combining the allure of high-end fashion with the emerging technology of blockchain.

The Treasure Trunks collection will grant exclusive membership, granting them priority access to Louis Vuitton’s future collections, experiences, and web3 ventures in the coming years.
Owners of these phygital NFTs will be guaranteed a privileged experience for those who are able to get their hands on these luxury digital collectibles.
Each NFT within the Treasure Trunks collection will be priced at €39,000 (approximately $42,000). The Treasure Trunks collection is part of Louis Vuitton's larger blockchain project called "Via”, the Latin word for road, and it is nodding to the fact that blockchain projects allow companies to expand their reach like never before.
Louis Vuitton's venture into blockchain projects is not a recent development. The luxury brand has been actively exploring the potential of blockchain technology in recent years. The brand’s foray into blockchain gaming, the NFT game “Louise: The Game”, achieved substantial success amassing over 2 million downloads since its release.
As Louis Vuitton continues to expand its presence in the blockchain sphere, we can expect more innovative projects that redefine the boundaries of luxury and elevate the concept of ownership in the digital age.
