Ginger Joy Games has officially launched the open alpha version of Fundora, a multiplayer arcade racing game for mobile devices. Fundora offers a unique mix of fast-paced racing mechanics, where players can compete across land, water, air, and even walls. With the release, players can experience new features, including the play-to-airdrop (P2A) campaign, where participants can earn GJOY tokens and in-game rewards.

Ginger Joy is a web3 spinoff of Matchingham Games, a UK-based mobile game developer. Matchingham Games recently secured £1 million ($1.26 million) in funding. This funding will be used to develop a blockchain-based ecosystem of interoperable mobile games. Russell Brown, Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) at Matchingham Games, emphasized that Ginger Joy was created to meet the growing demand for integrating blockchain into mobile gaming.

Fundora stands out in the racing genre by combining four distinct racing mechanics: running, swimming, climbing, and flying. Each race track incorporates these mechanics, presenting new challenges in every race. Players must dodge obstacles on foot, climb walls, or fly through aerial routes. This variety keeps the gameplay dynamic and exciting.

Players can equip themselves with tools that give strategic advantages based on these mechanics. Customization options are also available, allowing players to personalize their avatars and show off their in-game achievements.

Fundora promotes balanced competition with its league-based matchmaking system, Champions Path. This system pairs players with similar skill levels, ensuring a fair experience for everyone. A capped trophy system rewards players based on their skill, rather than how much they invest financially. This balance makes the game accessible to both free-to-play and paying players.

Ginger Joy Games CEO Ibrahim Over highlighted the importance of NFT ownership in Fundora. Players who own NFTs will gain access to exclusive content, including a playable avatar, special events, and the Fundora Race Pass.

P2A Campaign: Earn Rewards While You Play

One of the key features of the open alpha is the play-to-airdrop (P2A) campaign. Through this initiative, 10% of the GJOY token supply will be distributed to players who engage with the game regularly. This rewards early adopters and encourages continued participation.
