Frank's RedHot, the iconic hot sauce brand known for the launch of its Edible NFTs in 2022, is taking its love for flavor to the next level by launching a new game mode in Fortnite called "The Floor is Flava." This hot sauce version of Fortnite’s "The Floor is Lava" challenges players to survive by avoiding lava through an array of unfamiliar terrains like cities, beaches, and more

As you may have noticed, “The Floor is Flava" game mode is a nod to the iconic kids game by the same name. This game mode will be available to play on January 30th inside Fortnite’s custom game modes.

In your usual Battle-Royale Fortnite game, players simply parachute onto the island and try to survive against other players using skills and an array of guns. In this game mode, however, there is an impending danger of burning to a crisp due to lava rising. The game devolves into a chaotic scramble for the top as players use strategy and wits to come out on top.

Frank’s RedHot made waves in the metaverse as it is known for releasing the first-ever edible NFTs back in 2022. Although this recent gaming push in Fortnite is not metaverse or web3 related whatsoever, this can bring forth possibilities for further web3 integration into Fortnite and future collaborated games with the sauce brand.

The edible NFT was a buffalo wing-flavored token called "Bonecoin." This unique concept was launched to celebrate buffalo wings ahead of the Big Game and received widespread media attention.  Now with "The Floor is Flava," Frank's RedHot is aiming to reach a new audience of sauce lovers with their most virtual and immersive experience to date.

Frank's RedHot's entry into the game with The Floor is Flava, could potentially lead to more web3 opportunities for other brands in the future, as they may follow suit and find creative ways to integrate NFTs and gaming into their marketing campaigns within web3 games.
