The Battle Begins in Forgotten Runiverse

The competition for guild dominance has started in Forgotten Runiverse. On August 25, the blockchain MMORPG launched a new guild event called “Glory and Renown.” Guilds are now competing for a share of 2.5 million $PIXEL, the token used in the Pixels ecosystem. The event will run until September 8 at 11:59 p.m. ET, giving players less than two weeks to secure their place on the leaderboard.

This event follows the recent Sunflower Farm update, which expanded the game with fresh PvE content, new spells, and balance changes. With those updates now live, the spotlight has shifted to PvP, as guilds clash across the Runiverse for rewards and recognition.

To join the competition, guilds need to collect Renown through regular gameplay. Renown can then be risked in PvP fights against rival guilds. Winning a battle transfers Renown from the losing guild to the victor, where it becomes Glory. Glory is the only score that counts toward the leaderboard.

To make the event fair, all guild rankings were reset at the start. Every guild begins from zero, with equal opportunity to climb the standings. At the end of the event, the top 8 guilds ranked by Glory will share the 2.5 million $PIXEL prize pool. This means every battle carries weight, since a single loss can impact a guild’s final ranking.

Renown can be earned through several in-game activities. Each activity gives a set amount of Renown, allowing guilds to build their score through consistent play.

Key methods include:

• Reaching higher character levels for Renown bonuses
• Clearing Omen dungeons, with rewards based on difficulty
• Crafting Tier 4 items for high-value Renown gains
• Gathering Quanta in billion-level milestones
• Winning PvP matches against rival teams

Renown is the foundation of progress, but it is not enough on its own. Guilds must be willing to risk their Renown in PvP to convert it into Glory.

Glory is earned only through PvP battles. When a guild wins, it takes a portion of the opponent’s Renown and converts it into Glory. If the enemy guild has no Renown left, the winner gains nothing.

Because of this, strategy is just as important as strength. Picking the right opponents matters. Fighting a weak team may waste time, while targeting a guild with large amounts of Renown offers bigger rewards.

Guilds can also boost their chances by:

• Fighting in larger battles, such as 4v4 matchups, which yield higher rewards
• Ensuring all PvP team members belong to the same guild, as mixed teams do not count
• Leveling up the guild overall to enhance event gains
• Applying stacking boosts to increase both Renown and Glory earnings

The system creates a cycle of risk and reward. Bold plays and smart planning will decide which guilds rise and which fall.

Event Details

The Glory and Renown event started on August 25 and runs until September 8. Only the top 8 guilds at the end will share the prize pool. The total of 2.5 million $PIXEL will be split based on final rankings.

$PIXEL has already been used in past events, such as the Grand Summoning, but this is the first guild-exclusive competition with such a large reward. The event also connects Forgotten Runiverse with the broader Pixels ecosystem, continuing the collaboration between the two projects.

The leaderboard is now live in-game, updating as battles take place. With the reset in effect, every guild has the same chance to claim a spot in the top 8.

The Sunflower Farm update, released earlier this month, helped prepare the game for this competitive event. It introduced a new high-level dungeon with rare rewards and unique mechanics. Four new spells were also added: Congeal, Corrupting Pox, Defiling Rune, and Vigilant Decoy. These spells introduced fresh effects that now influence both PvE and PvP combat.

The level cap increased from 25 to 30, with smoother leveling adjustments. Two new gear sets arrived as well: the Alchemist Set for speed builds and the Ceratopsian Set for tank-damage hybrids. New areas, including a cave with a “Delve” activity, were also added.

Most importantly, the update introduced the Renown and Glory system that powers the current event. Players were told it would support a future guild competition, and that moment has now arrived.
