- The game’s roadmap is now reshaped, with shorter, three-month cycles starting in December 2025, offering faster updates and smoother progress.
- EVE Frontier is also moving to the Sui blockchain, enabling true onchain item ownership and smoother real-time gameplay.
Cycle 3: Silent Tide Begins
Silent Tide, EVE Frontier's third game cycle, will begin on October 15 at 14:00 UTC, the company has revealed. Every player has a new start with this cycle. Everyone must gather, construct, and survive in a fresh round of the Frontier, starting over. From October 17 to 27, a free trial will be available so that both new and returning players may try the game out before the big update rollout.
Major Update Lands October 29
On October 29, Cycle 3's primary update will launch. It alters how players construct, craft, and navigate the environment. There is a complete revamp of the Build Mode. Structures can now be positioned closer together and vertically by players. The building of bases seems more natural thanks to a new camera technology that offers greater control and accuracy. Whether creating defense outposts or industrial zones, these upgrades will let players design their communities in more imaginative ways.
A big change arrives with the Industry system. Structures no longer work in batches. As long as they stay powered and supplied, they keep running nonstop. Larger buildings can handle bigger loads, which adds more strategy to base and resource management.

Cycle 3 also adds a new respawn system. After destruction, players can now choose where they reappear. This brings more control and flexibility, allowing safer respawns or instant returns to the battlefield.
Two new exploration sites will appear across the Frontier. Each site hides dormant dangers that only awaken when provoked. Players can also earn two new ships during an in-game event at the start of the cycle. These rewards are not automatic; players must earn them through skill-based participation.
Later in the cycle, players can test a new WASD ship control mode. This limited-time test lets pilots steer their ships using keyboard movement for a more hands-on experience. A new PvP tournament will also arrive, encouraging players to prove their combat skills and teamwork in live battles.
A Fresh Roadmap for Future Cycles
CCP Games has unveiled an updated EVE Frontier plan in conjunction with the new cycle. Each game cycle will now last for three months beginning in December 2025. The objective is to decrease the amount of wipes that reset progress and deliver faster updates. The travel between cycles will be more steady and uninterrupted for players.
Here’s the updated timeline:
- Cycle 3: October 15, 2025
- Cycle 4: December 2025
- Cycle 5: March 2026
- Cycle 6: June 2026
Cycle 3 will keep growing even after the October 29 update. Future patches will refine crude extraction systems and rebalance risk and rewards across exploration zones.

Cycle 4 will expand base building and survival gameplay. Ship controls will be upgraded, a new character system will arrive, and clone creation testing will begin. Tribal base building will make its debut, letting teams work together in shared construction zones with set roles.

Ships will gain clearer purposes through rebalancing, while bases will grow through a tier-based system. The in-game economy, NPC behavior, and world diversity will also evolve.
Cycle 5, coming in March 2026, will bring a new scanning system for stealth and detection. Base defense and recovery tools will expand. The travel system will get a redesign to make journeys between ships and regions more dynamic.

EVE Frontier Joins the Sui Network
CCP Games has confirmed that EVE Frontier is moving its infrastructure to the Sui blockchain, built by Mysten Labs. Sui’s design allows every item—ships, tools, factories—to exist as unique onchain objects with their own data. This setup matches EVE Frontier’s item-based gameplay, letting every player-owned creation exist permanently onchain.
Sui also supports parallel transaction processing. This means that if one player is crafting while another is fighting, both can act at the same time without delay. Actions confirm in less than a second, which makes gameplay smoother and more responsive.
