Introduction to Decimated
The open alpha of the multiplayer survival role-playing game Decimated by Fracture Labs has begun. This update offers a ton of new content, interesting improvements, and well-polished features. It can be found on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Players are thrust into a dystopian civilization where surviving is a never-ending battle in this game, which was made with Unreal Engine 5. You can play as a rebel raider, a law-abiding cyborg police officer, or just a neutral citizen trying to survive the chaos in this dangerous wasteland.

Decimated offers dynamic gameplay where players must scavenge, trade, and fight. Whether you face off against other players or NPC enemies like cannibal raiders and rogue robots, the game provides plenty of action. Three factions are available for you to join; each has a unique set of tasks, such as convoy sabotage, territory defense, and cargo delivery. You will have to control your health, stamina, food, and water if you want to live. You can explore the large open area on foot, in a car, or with a jetpack. Although you will respawn with fewer stuff if you die, you can keep your precious equipment in safehouses and vaults.
What's New in the Open Alpha?
The open alpha is a significant milestone for Decimated. This update isn’t just a technical test but a major game expansion. Fracture Labs has packed in several new features and improvements that will make the game even more exciting for players.

There are now 150 missions for players to complete, offering something for everyone. From delivery missions where you transport goods through dangerous areas to high-speed racing and parkour challenges, there’s no shortage of variety. Scouting missions allow players to explore new zones and gather intel. Monthly leaderboards for each mission type offer great rewards, including a $10,000 prize pool once the alpha stabilizes.
Decimated offers two types of marketplaces. The Web Marketplace allows players to use $DIO, the game’s on-chain token, to buy premium items like vehicles, weapons, and skins. The In-Game Marketplaces let players spend soft currency (Credits) on essential consumables like food, water, and weapons. While NFTs and crypto are optional, they offer a faster way to enhance your gear or customize your experience.

Players can now manage their assets more easily. The new character selection screen lets you choose your faction and characters. There’s also a vehicle panel where you can summon and manage vehicles on demand. Both characters and vehicles are available for purchase in the marketplace.
A new safe zone called the Trader Outpost has been added. This combat-free hub allows players to trade items, restock gear, and meet with allies. It’s the perfect place to regroup and plan your next move without the threat of enemies.
Survival has become more realistic in this update. Health, stamina, and food consumption rates have been adjusted for better balance. Injuries now require proper management, as they can worsen if left untreated. The game now features over 20 different weapon types, each with unique skins and models. New scope options like sniper scopes and reflex sights enhance combat precision. The weapons have also been rebalanced to ensure fairer matches.
The vast Decimated world has been further improved. There are now over 30 different vehicle models, all customizable. Two jetpack modes add tactical variety to missions. The game’s UE5 visuals have also been upgraded, with better lighting and textures for vehicles and weapons.
Blockchain Integration and $DIO Economy
Decimated integrates $DIO, a crypto token on the Solana network. It’s an optional feature that allows you to buy gear, earn rewards, and stake your holdings. While it adds depth for blockchain fans, Decimated remains free to play for everyone. You don't have to pay actual money to really enjoy the event.
For those who like competition, Decimated has monthly leaderboards where players can climb the ranks to win prizes. Historical leaderboards allow players to show off their performance over time. The $10,000 prize pool adds an exciting edge to missions and challenges.

The open alpha brings technical improvements that make the game smoother and more enjoyable. The game now features reduced lag, better performance, and improved anti-cheat protection. Bug fixes have also been implemented to ensure a polished experience. You can even customize the UI to hide interface elements for cleaner screenshots and videos.
Getting started with Decimated is easy. Download the game from either Steam or the Epic Games Store. Once you’re in, choose your faction—cyborg cops, marauders, or neutral survivors. Gear up by visiting the marketplace or vending machines to buy weapons, food, and other essentials. Then, dive into the wasteland, complete missions, and compete on the leaderboards.
The open alpha is just the beginning for Decimated. Fracture Labs plans to expand the game with more missions, areas to explore, and seasonal updates that will keep the experience fresh. New content and challenges will be added to ensure the game remains exciting for all players. Keep an eye out for updates and new features as the game continues to evolve.
