Rough House Games and Overworld Join Reach Labs

Rough House Games, the studio behind the third-person arena RPG Champions Ascension, and the team behind multiplayer RPG Overworld, have joined forces to collaborate with Reach Labs. Reach Labs, a new gaming publisher launched in December, is focused on creating an ecosystem for both web3 and web2 games. This partnership is significant as it prioritizes rewarding developers, creators, and gamers. With this collaboration, the Reach platform has officially been introduced to the gaming world.

Reach is a publishing platform designed to provide decentralized distribution for gaming studios. It equips studios with tools to engage directly with their communities while rewarding players and creators for promoting games. This approach ensures that when gamers contribute to a game’s growth by introducing new players, they earn a share of the revenue generated through in-game spending and activity.

The platform addresses major challenges in software and game growth, which rely heavily on community support. Despite their contributions, creators and players often receive little recognition or compensation. Reach offers a solution by rewarding these contributors, creating a win-win situation for everyone involved. This innovative approach encourages organic growth and strengthens the connection between developers, players, and creators.

Gamers, streamers, and guild owners have multiple opportunities to earn rewards by bringing others into the Reach ecosystem. By inviting friends, followers, and community members to play, they can build a growing network. As this network becomes more active, their earnings increase.

Rewards stem from a variety of in-game activities. For example, when community members make purchases, complete in-game events, or engage with ads, the referrer earns a share of the revenue. Even when players simply participate in events, their activity contributes to the referrer’s rewards. This structure ensures that contributors are fairly compensated for their role in expanding the community and promoting games.

This unique approach transforms how game promotion works, making it more inclusive. Players and creators are no longer just participants but are directly recognized and rewarded for their efforts.

Why Champions Ascension and Overworld Joined Reach

Champions Ascension is positioned as the flagship game for Reach. This move highlights Rough House Games’ commitment to a democratized distribution model. The studio has rebranded under the Reach Labs publishing label to offer a solution that benefits the entire gaming industry.

The Keystone Protocol, integrated into Champions Ascension, will serve as the foundation for Reach’s on-chain distribution system. Prime Eternal NFT holders who pre-claimed $KEYS and continue holding their NFTs in the same wallet can still access their airdrops after TGE. The $KEYS token will play a pivotal role in this ecosystem, driving governance and rewards across multiple games and applications.

Similarly, Overworld has joined Reach to align with its vision for decentralized distribution. Overworld’s integration includes converting $MNCT allocations for NFT holders into $KEYS tokens. Other rewards, such as $XTER token allocations for Incarna and Supporter Key NFT holders, remain unchanged. This move ensures that Overworld’s players and creators are equally supported within the Reach ecosystem.

Reach’s first-party lineup includes notable titles from Overworld, such as Overworld Conquest and Braves, a 4X mobile strategy game previously known as Overworld Kingdoms. The platform has ambitious plans to expand its offerings by acquiring gaming studios and forming strategic partnerships.

Overworld’s connection to Xterio gives Reach a strong foothold in the Binance-backed ecosystem. This relationship opens doors for other projects, including games like Age of Dino, to integrate the Reach Protocol. These collaborations aim to showcase the platform’s ability to support both web3 and web2 games.

With Reach, Rough House Games and Overworld are pioneering a decentralized gaming ecosystem. By rewarding contributions from gamers, creators, and developers, the platform redefines growth and collaboration in gaming. As the lineup of games and partnerships grows, Reach is positioned to become a leader in the evolving world of web3 and web2 games.
