Axie Infinity Sees 200% Growth Thanks to Bounty Boards and Coinbase

Sky Mavis has seen significant growth in its games including Axie Infinity, Axie Classic and Homeland. The first half of 2024 showed two major peaks in the Axie ecosystem. April saw the introduction of the Bounty Board, a rewards-based Axie quest system, attracting over 37,000 new unique users.

Coinbase Partnership Boosts Users

June saw an additional surge in customers as a result of Sky Mavis and Coinbase cooperation. Users were involved in learning missions as part of the Coinbase Learn and Earn promotion. The completion of these quests earned users RON tokens and required purchasing NFTs. The trading volume of Axie NFT increased significantly as a result of this initiative.

Sky Mavis credits the Part Evolution launch in late 2023 for a portion of Axie Infinity's progress. The in-game prize pools grew from 63,000 to 81,133 AXS between seasons 7 and 9. Rewards were given to more players, which increased the game's appeal. There are currently 150,000 active user wallets on Axie Infinity per month, and 55,000 daily active users. Axie Classic also experienced a revival in the first half of 2024. New features included AXP rewards, gold, chests, the Cursed Coliseum mode, and Grand Tournaments. In April, Axie Classic launched its Competitive Circuit with a 57,000 AXS prize pool. This included 12 seasons of guild leaderboard, Guild Wars, and the Axie Classic Guild World Cup. Axie Classic’s DAUW hit 45,000, a 190% increase during H1.

Axie Homeland Challenges

The 2024 revival of Axie Homeland did not do as well as anticipated. In order to resolve problems and be in line with the community, the team is working on two significant improvements. Axie NFTs are used in place of current NPC characters as part of these improvements.

Axie Governance Portal is a feature of the new governance structure that Sky Mavis introduced. The Axie Score was also developed as a way to recognize and reward community contributions. The goal of this system is to increase participation from the community and the Axie ecosystem.

Through collaborations, new features and upgrades, Sky Mavis is demonstrating robust growth and community participation as it expands its ecosystem and game library.
