Who are the developers of Solana Civ?
SolanaCiv is a turn-based game fully built on the Solana blockchain, drawing inspiration from the Civilization game series.
How does Solana Civ work?
- Initialization: Upon a player's entry, the frontend generates a burner wallet, providing it with devnet SOL for funding. Session keys, essential for the mainnet gaming experience, are established during this phase.
- Turn Mechanics: At the commencement of each turn, players receive or lose resources based on their existing buildings and units to sustain their civilization. Subsequently, players can allocate actions for their workers, soldiers, and cities, each action constituting an on-chain transaction. Actions encompass researching technologies, constructing buildings, recruiting units, global map unit movement, and sending soldiers to combat barbarians.
- Construction: The erection of structures incurs production points, generated by each city. Some structures necessitate worker deployment on the global map, while others can be constructed directly within a city. Construction time is contingent on the production parameters specific to the city.
- Resource Gathering: Resource generation transpires at the outset of each turn, influenced by the quantity and type of buildings and units in place.
