Maelstrom is an online multiplayer naval combat game set in a dark, monster-filled ocean. Players command customizable warships in strategic battles, aiming to outmaneuver enemies, gather loot, and survive threats from rival ships and sea monsters. 

With both team-based and free-for-all modes, the game emphasizes tactical combat, ship upgrades, and environmental challenges. Players can attack with cannons, ram enemy vessels, or board them for close-quarters combat. Alongside PvP battles, PvE content allows players to train and earn upgrades.
