WorldShards is gearing up for the release of Additional Islands in a sale starting on October 4th. These islands will enhance gameplay by combining with the Founder’s Island, allowing players to expand their building capacity, increase construction space, and add artifact slots. Players will be able to own up to five Additional Islands, providing them with new opportunities and strategic advantages. These new islands are part of WorldShard’s Alpha release, which also includes updates to the crafting system, hunting, and repair mechanics, along with essential perks for equipment.

WorldShards Prepares for the Sale of Additional Islands

WorldShards, a sandbox MMORPG NFT game, is set in Murrlandia as a magical world filled with ancient magic and danger. In this world, islands float in the sky, and the original inhabitants, the Meowkles, once thrived. After a disaster shattered Murrlandia into millions of pieces, the Meowkles’ civilization came to an end. Players in WorldShards embark on adventures across this world, gathering resources, building and crafting items, and battling monsters.

Founder’s Islands were introduced in the early stages of the game’s pre-alpha phase. They were given as rewards to players who supported the development of WorldShards and could also be purchased from developers and other players. It’s important to note that Founder’s Islands should not be confused with Additional Islands or the Main Island.

In the game, every player starts with a Main Island, which lacks artifact slots. By purchasing a Founder’s Island, players can replace their Main Island with one that includes artifact slots, depending on its rarity. Only one Founder’s Island is allowed per account, making these rare and valuable assets. The higher the rarity of a Founder’s Island, the more capacity it offers, with rarity also affecting its market value.

Additional Islands are designed to supplement a player’s existing Founder’s or Main Island. These new islands add more building capacity and artifact slots, enhancing a player’s overall in-game experience. Additional Islands come in three sizes: small, medium, and large, each with unique advantages. Capacity is increased by 3,500 for Small Islands and adds 2 artifact slots; 5,000 for Medium Islands and adds 3 artifact slots; and 6,500 for Big Islands and adds 4 artifact slots.

With the ability to possess five Additional Islands, players can greatly increase the variety of gaming possibilities available to them. Founder’s Islands, in particular, offer more customization and flexibility, letting players switch between islands to create a more personalized experience. Although owning a Founder’s Island is not mandatory, those who have one will find their gameplay greatly enhanced, with opportunities for end-game dominance.

Founder’s Islands are highly regarded within the WorldShards community, even in the game’s Alpha phase. As the game’s economy develops, the value of these islands is expected to rise, especially when the in-game economy goes live.
