Triumph Games Buys Legends of Elumia
Triumph Games, a publisher working across both web2 and web3, has officially acquired Legends of Elumia, a blockchain-based fantasy MMORPG. This is a big step for the company. It adds another title to their growing list of web3 games and puts them in charge of a project that already has a strong community. The game was previously only available to NFT holders and Game Pass users through Ronin. With this new acquisition, the game may be heading toward a more open and free-to-play structure.
Up until now, Legends of Elumia was only accessible to a small group. Players either needed a Genesis NFT or had to buy a Ronin Game Pass during a recent limited-time event. That event only lasted four weeks, and while users could earn leaderboard rewards and enter a $100k raffle, it still felt very gated. Triumph Games saw an opportunity here. By acquiring Elumia, they plan to take the game out of its gated model. They want to make it easier for anyone to jump in and play.

Triumph Games has said they’re introducing a free-to-play model. This means you won’t need to buy an NFT or pass just to log in. Details haven’t been shared yet, but the idea is simple—more players, fewer barriers. It’s not clear if they’ll keep all the same reward systems or change up monetization. What’s important is that the game will soon be easier for everyone to access. Whether someone is familiar with crypto or not, they’ll likely be able to explore Legends of Elumia.
Triumph Games has not confirmed whether the development team is staying the same. No updates yet on how the gameplay will change either. More should be revealed during an X Space they’re hosting on April 10th at 3 PM UTC. The session is titled “The Future of Games: Ep 18 - We Bought an MMO.” It’s a roundtable where the team will talk about the game, their plans, and what’s next. Guests include members from their other game projects, like BattleRise and ArmourX, and some notable names in the space, such as @bigtimethomas and @callmekodak0.
About Triumph Games
Triumph Games is a developer and publisher that works across both web2 and web3. They’re focused on building free-to-play games that include blockchain elements. Players can own in-game assets and use them how they want. They aim to keep the gameplay fun and accessible, while still offering features that crypto gamers care about—like earning through leaderboards and true item ownership.
Their first title is BattleRise, a turn-based fantasy RPG available on Android and iOS. It joined the Beam Network earlier this year. The game mixes traditional mobile gameplay with web3 mechanics. Players can enjoy it for free, with the option to earn or trade in-game collectibles. ArmourX is another game in their pipeline. It’s a third-person looter shooter with a sci-fi theme. The game had an early release on HyperPlay and is going into closed beta soon.

Now with Legends of Elumia under their wing, Triumph Games has two strong web3 titles to bring to a larger crowd. Both games offer different genres and experiences. ArmourX targets action fans, while Elumia is for those who enjoy fantasy and MMORPGs.
Final Thoughts
This move could be a turning point for Legends of Elumia. Under Triumph’s leadership, the game might finally break out of its gated structure and attract more players. There’s still a lot we don’t know yet. But the direction looks promising. Triumph is building a clear path forward, blending the best of web2 gameplay with the benefits of web3 ownership. Whether someone cares about crypto or just wants to have fun in a fantasy world, Legends of Elumia could become the next big game worth watching.
