Hitbox Games has launched the open beta for Swords of Blood, a hack-and-slash RPG that lets players take part in a play-to-airdrop campaign throughout March 2025. Players can earn $HBOX NFTs by completing in-game activities such as campaign stages and daily dungeons. Each NFT contains 2000 tokens during the airdrop event, which takes place between March 1st until March 31st. These tokens are expected to be valued at $10 when the Token Generation Event (TGE) takes place in April 2025.

Set in a fantastical world full of obstacles and creatures, Swords of Blood is a free-to-play action role-playing game featuring fast-paced combat. Campaign mode, monster hunts, cooperative boss fights, and daily dungeons are among the game's many modes. By equipping various objects, players can improve their playstyle, construct weapons, and upgrade their equipment.

Throughout March, players can earn $HBOX NFTs by completing campaign stages and daily dungeons. These NFTs will convert into tokens once the $HBOX TGE happens in April 2025. Each NFT contains 2000 tokens, with an estimated value of $10 at TGE.

According to the game’s official Discord server, 166 $HBOX NFTs are distributed daily, which equals about $1660 in rewards each day. The exact drop rate has not been disclosed, but all players have a chance to receive one. If a player obtains an NFT, they must wait one hour before trying to earn another. This cooldown prevents rapid farming and encourages breaks between sessions.

Players do not see an NFT reward notification immediately after completing a stage or dungeon. Instead, they must return to the main screen to check if they received one. The number of collected NFTs appears in the GUTS menu on the right side of the main screen. Some players have reported issues accessing this menu, but it does not impact their rewards.

Developers have adjusted drop rates in the latest build and expect to resolve menu display issues soon. Since only 166 NFTs are allocated daily, players who miss out one day can try again the next. The distribution resets at 00:00 UTC each day.

Additional Features and Future Updates 

Swords of Blood does not offer bonus multipliers, increased drop rates, or extra perks for holding specific NFTs or completing social quests. However, players can buy NFT gear through the Sequence-powered marketplace to enhance their in-game progression. The game also features a leaderboard, but ranking rewards are not yet active. Once implemented, these rewards will require players to equip at least three specific NFTs to qualify.

$HBOX is the governance and utility token for Swords of Blood and future projects by Hitbox Games. The open beta focuses on the play-to-airdrop campaign, but the token will play a broader role in the game’s ecosystem over time.
