Seraph Launches Season 3 with $850K Prize Pool and Free-to-Play Upgrade

South Korea, June 12, 2025  — Following the momentum of a successful Season 2, Seraph, the next-generation ARPG built for crypto players, is stepping into its boldest chapter yet. Titled the ‘Mercenary Season’, Season 3 introduces a major gameplay expansion featuring Mercenary NFTs, a redesigned free-to-play model, and a prize pool of 5 million $SERAPH tokens, currently valued at over $850,000.

Why It’s Called The Mercenary Season

The spotlight of this season is a newly launched Mercenary system. Through ranked auctions on ActPass, players can acquire Mercenary NFTs and deploy them on missions to earn Blood Diamonds, a fresh in-game resource that unlocks access to specialized Mercenary Dungeons.

Inside the new Mercenary Dungeons, players take on waves of enemies, open loot boxes, and collect Fire Feathers along the way. These feathers can either be exchanged for $SERAPH or saved for upcoming content, like the World Boss feature. The deeper you go, the better the loot. Some runs may even summon an Ultimate Boss, offering extra feather rewards for those who can take it down.

Mercenaries can be powered up using Blood Diamonds and combined into teams with unique synergy effects. This season also introduces World Boss raids, where players team up to deal as much damage as possible and earn rewards based on their contribution.

Now Fully Free-to-Play with Welcome Bundles

A major update this season is the move to a fully free-to-play model with Play-to-Earn access. Every account, whether new or returning, receives a Welcome Bundle worth over $100 that includes:

A Seasonal Game Pass

A Stall Permit, which unlocks the in-game marketplace

A one-click Leveling Item to reach Level 60 instantly and begin P2E gameplay

Veteran players who held in-game assets or made purchases in previous tests will receive an upgraded bundle valued at $155, which includes an advanced leveling item instead.

This change opens up P2E access for a much wider player base and removes previous barriers to entry.

PFP NFTs Get In-Game Perks

PFP NFT holders on ActPass will now receive exclusive in-game benefits via a new PFP Privilege Card. This non-transferable pass grants access to two VIP features:

Auto-Sweep mode in Chaos Dungeons

Burn Map function in the Void Realm

Eligibility will be based on snapshot data collected after launch. This update reflects Seraph’s ongoing focus on real in-game use cases for NFT collections and added benefits for long-term holders.

New Drop Mechanics and Boosted Rewards

Players will also see improved earnings from new mechanics introduced this season:

Void Realm Lottery Tickets: These tickets, found in high-tier maps, can be traded or redeemed for Fire Feathers. 

Fallen Angel Boxes: These rare drops now include a chance to win a 100x Fire Feathers voucher, a massive windfall for fortunate players.

The Fate Shop has also been revamped this season. Players can now exchange 105 Fate Points for unlimited ‘Source Crystal’, making it easier to recharge NFT gear and maintain earning momentum throughout the season.
