Biggest Update Since Launch

MapleStory N just launched its 2025 Summer Update. This is the biggest patch since the global release in May. It introduces new heroes, NFT upgrades, and a fresh Legion system. Nexpace is mixing web3 with classic 2D MMORPG elements. The update brings more variety, better progression, and a reason for old and new players to jump in.

Six new hero classes are joining the game. On August 7, Mercedes, Phantom, and Aran arrive. Evan, Luminous, and Shade follow on August 21. These characters bring different builds, new combos, and unique skills. Players get growth rewards when leveling these heroes. They also earn Fiesta Coins and Hero Coins through simple gameplay. This helps new players catch up fast and gives long-time players more to try out.

Heroes Fiesta Runs Until September 17

The Heroes Fiesta is a time-limited event. It’s open to all characters that have been minted. Players can do daily and weekly missions to get event coins. These coins are spent in the event shops. Rewards include cube items, rebirth flames, rings, and gear for growth. Daily tasks include hunting, activating runes, and clearing minigames. Weekly missions focus on boss fights, with the hardest bosses giving the most rewards. A check-in system, bonus EXP boosts, and rotating character buffs are also available. Minigames like Bingo and Tangyoon Restaurant offer more chances to earn coins in fun ways.

The new Legion system is one of the biggest features in this patch. Players assign leveled characters to the Legion. Each one gives passive bonuses. As Legion level increases, more bonuses unlock. Characters can also go on auto-battle raids to collect Legion Coins. These coins are used to buy growth potions, tools, and gear. Legion members can be upgraded using Block Boosts. Weekly missions and shop items support long-term account growth. This system makes playing multiple characters more rewarding than ever before.

The NFT Collection system got a full overhaul. Now, NFTs can be bound for up to 90 days. The longer they stay bound, the more they add to your collection score. Players can use this score to boost key stats like STR, DEX, or Boss Damage. Even weak NFTs now help improve your account. Stats can be changed at any time, and older NFTs get credit based on when they were added. This new system gives NFTs a long-term purpose, not just a trading value.

Many classes got buffs in the July 24 update. Explorers like Hero, Paladin, and Bishop were improved. Their main attacks now deal more damage. Bishop’s utility got better too. Other classes received longer range, better cooldowns, and smoother bossing. This makes more jobs playable in tough content. The patch also fixes bugs that have been around for a while. It added features like longer item locks, lie detector changes, and a login refresh button to fix stuck accounts.

The NESO Drop Event increases currency drops across the board. All monsters and bosses now give more NESO for a limited time. Daily and weekly bosses' drop boosted NESO. Harder bosses like Lotus and Damien drop the most. Call of Heroes Fever Skills can also be used to boost both EXP and NESO for a short time. These can be used 20 times a day and reset daily. It’s a great time to grind.

About MapleStory N

MapleStory N launched on May 15. It’s the first full game in the MapleStory Universe (MSU). It looks like the original 2D MMORPG but is powered by web3. Players own their characters and items. It runs on the Avalanche Henesys Layer-1 network. There are no gas fees. Items can be minted as NFTs and traded. The game uses NESO for in-game use and NXPC as its governance token. Early numbers showed strong activity, with nearly one million wallets connected and over 31 million transactions.

MapleStory N is only one part of a bigger world. Nexpace is building a full blockchain platform called the MapleStory Universe. Players will get new tools by late 2025 and early 2026. These include mobile and web apps that help with gear, quests, and grinding. You won’t need to log in just to play. Developers will also get access to APIs and earn NXPC for building. This opens up space for creators and gives more value to being active in the MSU.
