Aaron Avruskin, the co-founder of the controversial @NFT Instagram account, has proposed a new mobile NFT game in collaboration with rapper Lil Baby called "Rollies". The game has been developing since January 2022 and is currently seeking $6 million in seed funding

Lil Baby’s Rollies Development

The full name of the game is "Lil Baby's Rollies" and it has a street-style theme such as featuring rough graffiti art and showcasing the rapper himself. Lil Baby has previously expressed support for NFTs and has collected an NFT from the famous Bored Ape Yacht Club project which are the developers behind the recent NFT game, Dookey Dash.

The NFT game promises to distribute a free NFT drop, a Rollie's NFT mobile gambling game, and a roadmap focused on sponsored tournaments and subsequent NFT drops. According to Decrypt, within two years, Rollies could earn multi-million dollar deals from NFT wearables and drops and “secondary sales” such as royalties from NFT trading.

Avruskin’s Reputation

However, despite the promising financial projections, the proposed game faces significant challenges. Avruskin's reputation, tainted by controversies surrounding his past ventures, could deter investors from funding the project. The @NFT Instagram account, co-founded by Avruskin, has been embroiled in several controversies, including falsely listing Mark Cuban as one of its co-founders, and promoting multiple scams and rug-pull NFT projects.

Moreover, the NFT industry is still relatively new and unpredictable, with many projects failing to deliver on their promises. Rollies, in particular, faces stiff competition from other NFT games, some of which have already established themselves in the market. Nevertheless, the Lil Baby partnership could perhaps provide the game with a significant boost and attract interest from investors and gamers alike.

Final Thoughts

The proposed Lil Baby's Rollies NFT game faces significant challenges, from the controversies surrounding Aaron Avruskin to the highly competitive NFT market. With the revelation of numerous triple-A games such as Illuvium chipping away at improving how the public sees crypto games, you could say that this project may seem to provide more harm than benefit for the entire NFT game industry.

Investors and gamers alike will be watching closely to see whether Rollies will succeed in a highly competitive and unpredictable market. For more information on the current trending NFT games, interested parties can visit our page for a detailed showcase.
