• First Install the STEPN app.

• You must first buy NFT sneakers linked to your SOL wallet address in order to get started. Sneakers can be bought using SOL currency.
• You must transfer SOL from your STEPN wallet to the spending account to use the money.
• Get a Sneaker by visiting the in-app Marketplace and choosing one! To find the Sneaker style of your choice, use the Filter option.

You can select from one of these four shoe classes with varying earning efficiency depending on your chosen speed of movement.

Following the purchase of your sneaker, you can test out game modes such as solo, marathon and background mode, shoe-minting, obtaining gems, and earning badges.

Sneakers Guide

The characteristics of a sneaker can have a big impact on how well different NFT sneakers perform and are rewarded in the STEPN game. 

Sneaker GameFi features include sneaker qualities that can be improved and purchased with in-game GST tokens. The following modes can be added to these NFT sneaker characteristics:

Efficiency: In the single and future marathon game modes, this shoe attribute directly influences GST revenue. A higher efficiency attribute will increase GST profits per energy invested in solo mode. In addition, a higher efficiency attribute results in a faster accrual of leaderboard points in marathon mode.

Luck: During solo runs, the luck attribute determines the quality and frequency of mystery box drops.

Comfort: This attribute has an impact on your GMT profits in solo and marathon modes, together with staking and governance. The development of this quality is ongoing.

Resilience: Also referred to as durability or repair, resilience has a favorable effect on durability’s decay rate in solo mode. For instance, a shoe’s efficiency falls to 90% with a 50/100 durability rating while it falls to 10% with a 20/100 rating.

Dual Token Economy

STEPN employs a novel dual token structure with unique use cases. STEPN uses GMT and GST Tokens, both of which are based on the Solana blockchain.

GMT — Staking token

• The network’s primary validation token
• With a maximum supply of 6 billion tokens, GMT is a deflationary coin

GST — Spending Token

• Transaction fees and other in-game fees are settled with GST.
• The token is the in-game prize for players with less than level 29.
• There is no cap on the issuance of GST, which causes inflation.
