Gunzilla Games Launches GUNZ Avalanche Subnet for Upcoming Cyberpunk Battle Royale NFT Game

Gunzilla Games, the video game developer behind the upcoming cyberpunk Battle Royale NFT game "Off the Grid," has announced the launch of its own dedicated Avalanche Subnet called GUNZ. 

Off the Grid is a story-driven sabotage and assassination mission game that takes place on a futuristic island in the Pacific Ocean. Players will use high-tech soldiers with sci-fi equipment and guns alongside greedy corporations. The game will be released on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.

While the game will be free-to-play, Gunzilla Games will offer an optional battle pass subscription that gives access to the GUNZ marketplace on the Avalanche Subnet. This will allow players to purchase and trade NFTs related to the game.

The Avalanche subnet will offer the developers a wider range of added customization while also maintaining greater control of its ecosystem. This will allow Gunzilla Games to tailor the blockchain to the specific needs of "Off the Grid" and ensure that it can handle many transactions and interactions between players.

Gunzilla Games has recently revealed gun showcases on Twitter, giving players a taste of the futuristic guns that will be available in the game. These include the enhanced AKM and experimental LMG gun.

The Battle Royale genre is one of the most popular genres in shooters, generating a total of $20 billion in 2019. Furthermore, the top four highest-grossing battle royale games of 2020 generated more than $7 billion worldwide, signifying that the genre has definitely a strong and growing market.
