As we approach deeper into 2023, established NFT games are in the spotlight to showcase how they are going to elevate their game. Skyweaver, the NFT trading card game, answers the call by unveiling its 2023 roadmap, showcasing the exciting new additions and updates for the coming year.
New Hero abilities, Improved Quests, Tournaments, and so much more. Letās take a look into what are the coming new features for Skyweaver.
One of the most significant updates for 2023 is the introduction of the Skypass. This feature is like web2ās battle pass. Players who regularly play the game can have the opportunity to earn premium awards for simply grinding the game. This provides an incentive for players to continue playing and spending hours on the game.
Additionally, the 2023 roadmap includes updates to the game economy, which will be a welcome addition for many players. Seasonal quests will dovetail with the free and premium Skypasses to help players progress faster through the game. The starter decks will also include improved questing and onboarding quests, providing new players more context and guidance as they unlock heroes and decks.
New Heroes and Abilities
Yes, you read that right. The newly unveiled roadmap also includes the introduction of new heroes and their powerful abilities.
Previously, single-prism decks were only allowed to include 25 cards, while multi-prism decks required 30 cards. However, it has become apparent that the thin deck needs to provide more of an advantage against decks with access to twice as many cards. Therefore, all heroes will now require a 30-card deck, leveling the playing field and enabling a more diverse range of decks.
The summer of 2023 will see the introduction of the first hero abilities of Ada, Ari, Bouran, Lotus, and Samya as part of a package of improved starter decks. Many of these abilities will be strong enough to be included in even established players' decks, providing even more depth and variety to the game.
Finally, Skyweaver aims to expand its tournament system to define and support many strata of players. While the Conquest tournament is currently the most popular tournament type, Skyweaver recognizes that it only caters to two groups - casual and Conquest. Therefore, the new and robust tournament system aims to fill the void between these two groups and beyond. With tournaments ranging from hundreds of players to synchronous tournaments with posted round times, Skyweaver intends to provide a more diverse range of tournament options to cater to all players.
Final Thoughts
Skyweaver's 2023 roadmap promises to bring exciting new additions and updates to the game, making it an even more engaging and immersive experience for players.
