Star Atlas Sells $3 Million Worth NFT Spaceships To Animoca Brands

Star Atlas has hit crypto gaming news headlines after announcing that Animoca Brands has agreed to purchase Star Atlas non-fungible tokens, NFT, spaceships worth more than $3 million. The announcement, which was tweeted on the Star Atlas Twitter page said, "AnimocaBrands has committed to purchasing over $3 million worth of Star Atlas NFT spaceships." All these NFT spaceships are part of Star Atlas' Galactic Asset Offering (GAO). All the funds raised during GAO will go towards the improvement of the Star Atlas Metaverse. What's more is that other spaceships, and other in-game assets will be dropping during the much awaited Shipmas initiative that will end on December 26th. There's also Also the mini-game dubbed Faction Fleet (SCORE) that is allowing players to sell and utilize these in-game assets. Part of the announcement tweet also continued to say, "We've also released a tool to enable fair & transparent bulk purchasing of in-game assets." This new feature allows purchasing NFTs in bulk, without compromising the values that Star Atlas holds dear. This bulk purchase tool comes as part of the Galactic Marketplace.

Star Atlas Spaceships Bringing Value To Players

During this announcement, Star Atlas co-founder and CEO Michael Wagner said, “We are placing a high level of consideration into every aspect of our economics and governance model. These spaceships will allow players to create value from their participation in the ecosystem. With the help of Animoca Brands’ partnership, we hope to become a leader in the play-to-earn space by creating a metaverse with the opportunity for players to create real-world impact on their lives.” Star Atlas is working hard to AAA-quality games with a cinematic visual appeal, to attract mainstream gamers. This explains why a partnership with Animoca is so strategic. Animoca Brands, is an industry trailblazer in blockchain gamification. The firm boasts of helping about 150 NFT-related companies,  and working on other projects aimed at building the open metaverse. Applauding the partnership, Animoca Brands' executive chairman, Yat Siu stated. “We are looking forward to using these hyper-realistic spaceships in the Star Atlas metaverse when it launches, and to capitalize on its promising in-game economy while we drive opportunities for collaboration and synergy with our products, partners, and the other companies in our investment portfolio.” As it stands, multiple game assets are on sale at the Star Atlas marketplace. So far, these asset prices are ranging from $20 to well over $1 million. This indicates the game’s potential and makes the crypto gaming community is anxious to see the impact of the Animoca Brands' purchase.
