Less Than 24 Hours Until the Variance Genesis Void Collection Mint
The NFT mint for the Variance Genesis Void Collection officially begins on February 25th at 9 PM UTC. If you’re interested in participating, here’s everything you need to know.
The Variance Genesis Void Collection is a set of stylish character cards that offer exclusive rewards and benefits, including a $VOID airdrop allocation.
Several cards from the collection have been revealed this month, along with details about NFT utility. According to the official X thread announcing the mint date, owning an NFT from this collection grants access to exclusive airdrops. These airdrops include skins, in-game items, and additional NFTs. The first airdrop will arrive soon after the mint takes place.

Beyond airdrops, holders will receive monthly rewards. These rewards could include in-game currency bundles, battle passes, and DLCs. Owners will also get early access to new features as developer Realm Studios continues working on launching the full version of their web3 metroidvania game.
In addition to these benefits, owning a genesis NFT grants an airdrop allocation of the upcoming $VOID token. $VOID is an ecosystem token designed to support a gameplay validation mechanism called Void Protocol. All NFT holders will receive an equal $VOID airdrop, regardless of card rarity.
$VOID Tokenomics
The $VOID token has a total supply of 1 billion. Token distribution is as follows:
- 10% reserved for NFT holders
- 50% allocated for ecosystem rewards
- 15% held by the team
- 10% for expansion incentives
- 10% for “Protocol Power”
- 5% allocated for liquidity
Vesting schedules have not been shared yet. The Token Generation Event (TGE) is planned for 2025. There are also plans to buy back tokens using revenue from battle pass purchases. The more players and revenue generated, the more token buybacks will take place.
To participate in this NFT mint, getting whitelisted is recommended. The best way to secure a whitelist spot is through potential giveaway events. There may also be a public mint phase, but updated mint details are still pending.

Originally, the mint was planned to have three phases on the Base network, with 9,500 cards available for 0.035 ETH each. However, the team has announced changes to these details. The mint date remains the same, and Base will continue to be the chosen blockchain. Official mint details will be updated tomorrow.
While waiting for the mint, you can join the Founders Wave Open playtest for Variance. This playtest offers a free-to-play experience on your web browser. It launched on February 24th at 9 PM UTC, featuring new gameplay improvements and rewards.
In January 2025, the Variance Wave 3 playtest allowed the community to participate in play-to-airdrop events. More updates will follow as new details emerge. Stay tuned and get ready for the mint.
