Treeverse announces the Pre-Alpha stage

After a year of monthly updates, NFT MMORPG Treeverse announces its pre-alpha development stage on Twitter. Shaping up to be one of the most anticipated titles in web3 gaming, Treeverse opens up pre-alpha testing in Q4 2022.

The Pre-alpha is its first stage in the development period. The primary focus of this stage is to test and gain feedback on the combat loop. Treeverse will not be showing all its guns since there will only be limited content with L1 art assets, focusing its efforts on feedback and testing on the combat loop.

Applications for participating in the pre-alpha stage will last two weeks before closing. If you’re looking to be one of the few hundred people to play pre-alpha, you can apply by filling out the application form. The form will close on December 13, 2022.

Selected participants will be sent a follow-up email on what they can expect from the pre-alpha. Participants will be under NDA(non-disclosure agreement) but the team will nonetheless share some content from the pre-alpha stage.

What is Treeverse?

Treeverse is a web3 MMORPG that features a captivating fantasy world full of mythical creatures and characters. Developed by Endless Clouds, the game allows players to go on quests, fight creatures, and collect or forge unique items to create in-game NFTs. 

The game is playable on mobile and it requires no prior knowledge of web3 to play. A crypto wallet will not be required to play it instead players will only be given the option to turn their in-game items into NFTs.

The game has a classless “knowledge tree” system that allows players to shape their own experience by allocating points toward character attributes, allowing for diverse ways to enjoy the game.

Treeverse has three collections of NFTs, NFTrees, Plots, and Timeless. Each asset provides ownership and earning potential in different ways. Timeless is unique anime PFP(Profile picture) characters that represent in-game 3D avatars while Plots are essentially land NFTs that players can design or possibly rent out.

Moreover, NFTrees are a collection of 421 8-bit tree images that produce consumable in-game fruits that offer users a temporary buff.

Final Thoughts

The Treeverse team has explicitly stated that the content within the pre-alpha will not be representative of the final product. The pre-alpha stage not only makes sure that the combat loop is working, but also effectively shows the community its clear commitment to quality
