Rivalries Event Progress Update
Team Foundation continues to trail behind Team Ice King in the ongoing Rivalries event in Fortnite, yet progress remains steady. The faction recently hit another milestone, which unlocked the Cube Rifle for players. This marks a notable addition to the current loot pool, giving players a new option in combat situations.
The weapon connects closely with the Cube theme, drawing energy from Kevin, a long-running element in the game’s storyline. Designed by Jules, the rifle blends lore and gameplay into one piece of equipment. As a result, it stands out both visually and mechanically.

Where to Find the Cube Rifle
The Cube Rifle appears through standard loot sources across the Chapter 7 Season 2 map. Players can discover it inside chests, as floor loot, or through supply drops. Since it only comes in Epic and Legendary rarities, finding one may take some time and luck.
For those who prefer a more reliable method, the Exotic Hoprock Cube Rifle is available through Rivalry Machines. It costs 80 Rival Credits, which players earn during the event. This option guarantees access to the weapon, avoiding the randomness of loot spawns.
The Exotic Hoprock Cube Rifle adds a unique twist compared to the standard version. It includes a built-in low gravity effect that activates whenever the weapon is held. This effect allows players to move more freely, making jumps higher and falls safer.
Because of this mechanic, the weapon works well with mobility tools like the Skyline Deployer. Players can combine both to reposition quickly or escape risky fights. The added movement advantage makes the Exotic version more than just a damage tool.

Understanding the Cube Rifle Mechanics
The Cube Rifle stands out due to its dual fire modes, each serving a different purpose. The primary fire shoots a steady energy beam that deals consistent damage. This mode works best in direct fights where quick hits matter.
The secondary fire launches small cube projectiles that explode after a short delay. Players can also trigger the explosion manually by shooting the projectile with the primary fire. This creates a stronger blast, which increases the total damage output significantly.

Combat Strategy and Best Use
Using the Cube Rifle effectively depends on timing and positioning. The manual detonation method delivers higher damage, so players benefit from learning how to trigger it consistently. This approach rewards precision and awareness during fights.
At the same time, the weapon lacks Aim Down Sights, which limits accuracy at long range. Compared to weapons like the Vector 7 DMR or the Foundation Rift Rifle, it feels less stable when aiming. Because of this limitation, the secondary fire becomes the more reliable choice in many situations.
