Six New Arenas and More Seasonal Content

Season 4 introduces six icy arenas with different designs for races, survival challenges, and King of the Hill. Each map has its own movement patterns and obstacles. Players can try fast racing routes or careful survival strategies. The update also adds daily quests and rotating events. These quests keep players active with new rewards every day.

The season includes two passes. The first runs from December 2 to December 23. The second runs from December 23 to January 13. Each pass provides its own rewards, characters, and collectibles. Fish stay as the main in-game currency. Players earn fish through matches, daily tasks, and seasonal events.

Holiday Characters and Collectibles

Season 4 adds a full set of holiday-themed characters. NATs, or Not Auctionable/Tradable characters, are needed for gameplay and crafting. Krumbles and Dart are the NATs for this season. Limited Edition characters like Snobert and Santa appear through the pass, in-game store, or leaderboard rewards. These characters provide unique designs and event bonuses.

The rarest characters are Ultra LEs. Players need a Level 3 NAT and a Talisman to unlock them. Dubby and the pass-exclusive McCracken are the Ultra LEs for this season. This tier targets players who enjoy long-term progression.

Customization expands with 11 new cosmetics, seven trails, and four dances. Players can use these to add personality to their penguins. Festive outfits like Gingerbread and new animations bring more variety to the game’s visual style.

Events in Season 4 introduce Bells as a new event currency. Players earn Bells through placement, collecting fish during matches, using power-ups, and interacting with others. Some events also reward Talismans. These Talismans are key items needed to craft Ultra LEs. This creates several layers of progression and keeps players engaged.

The event schedule spreads across both passes. Players need to track the schedule to collect everything they want. NAT events rotate between Krumbles and Dart. Limited and Ultra LE events appear in NFT events based on the season timeline.

Season 4 includes patch v0.15.0 with several gameplay and interface changes. PLAY mode now uses single-round matches with eight players. Seasonal events run across three rounds with fewer players in each round. PARTY mode keeps the classic three-round setup with 15 players.

The main menu receives a new layout. A favorite system for costumes is added. Bonus costume tags appear more often. These updates reduce time spent navigating menus and make it easier to manage characters, rewards, and outfits.

Winter Maps and Blizzard Blockade

The six maps in Season 4 cover different play styles. Slide Hard, Holly Jolly Express, and Loco Locomotives offer fast races. Blizzard Blockade and Merry Popper focus on survival and timing. Yule Log is the new King of the Hill map with a strong focus on control.

Each map encourages new strategies. Obstacles, slippery paths, and layout twists reward players who adapt quickly.
