May 2026 was packed with events for Pokémon GO players, but June looks to be even busier. Pokémon GO June 2026 events begin with the all-new Forever Forward season! It includes Legendary Pokémon in Raids, a long-awaited ‘Frigibax Community Day.’
The event also features new Team Leader research events and a new Mega Raid Day. There’s something here for every week this month for players of all levels to attend, from casual players to hardcore grinders. Let’s take a look at all the events happening this June in Pokémon GO.
The Forever Forward Season Begins June 2

Forever Forward, the new Pokémon GO adventure, begins June 2. New research, raid bosses, Max Battle encounters, and themed events to keep trainers busy throughout the season.
Five Star and Mega Raid Bosses.
The Raid lineup will feel fresh all month long. You’ll see many beloved Legendary and Mega Pokémons this month. The five-Star Raid Schedule:
- June 3–9 Reshiram
- June 10–16 Zekrom
- June 17–23 Necrozma
- June 24-30 Kartana (Northern) / Celesteela (Southern)
Of course, Mega Raids also rotate weekly: Mega Audino (June 3–9), Mega Lopunny (June 10–16), Mega Scizor (June 17–23), and Mega Pidgeot (June 24–30). Shadow Dialga will also be on-screen during weekends over the whole month, June 2 – June 30, in Shadow Raids.

Spark’s Quest for Caretaking (June 2–8)
The first week of the month is dedicated to Team Instinct leader Spark. Poképarc will hatch more often from 7 km Eggs such as Varoom, Galarian Corsola, and Hisuian Qwilfish.
Wild encounters will also feature Alolan Raichu, Dratini, and Jolteon more often. Trainers can also use their free or paid GO Passes to receive additional bonuses.
Candela’s Quest for Victory (June 9–15)
Candela’s research event is centered around battle and is the focus of the team Valor’s life. Trainers will be able to face strong Pokémon like Scizor and Machamp in Raids and wild Pokémon like Mankey, Ponyta, Flareon, and other fighting and fire-type Pokémon will be seen more frequently throughout the event.
There will also be themed field research tasks for extra encounters of featured Pokémon and trainers will be able to continue their free or premium GO Passes for more rewards.
Frigibax Community Day, June 20

This is one event to look forward to. Frigibax will spawn significantly more often in the wild between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM on June 20 (local time). Trainers might have a much better chance of catching this elusive ice- and dragon-type Pokémon in the wild.
It’s worth your while to visit Frigid-bax. Once it’s evolved to Baxcalibur it’s one of the most powerful attackers in the game. Players will also have higher chances of getting a Shiny Frigibax.
There’s a time-sensitive move unlock to watch for, too: the Charged Attack Glaive Rush is a unique move that will be unlocked only if you evolve the last form of Frigibax, Baxcalibur, by 9:00 PM local time on Community Day.
Community Day Bonuses:
- 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon
- 2× chance of Candy XL (Level 31+ trainers)
- Incense lasts three hours
- Lure Modules stay active for one hour and attract Frigibax
- One extra Special Trade
- 50% reduced Stardust cost for trades

Flying Taxi Event (June 23–29)
The Flying Taxi event takes place June 23-29. Niantic is yet to confirm the details, but there’s a good chance we will get more details before the release date.
Flying Taxi: Taken Over (June 25–29)
Things get darker in the middle of the event. Team GO Rocket will take the helm of the Flying Taxi activities, with their takeover from June 25 till June 29. Shadow Pokémon may be encountered, and the typical Rocket mayhem should be expected.
Mega Raid Day (June 27) & Max Battles
June 27 will be a Mega Raid Day. Be sure to check the official Pokémon GO blog for the announcement.
Every week this month, Dynamax’s encounters change. The schedule is as follows:
- Dynamax Inkay (June 1-7)
- Electabuzz (June 8-14)
- Roggenrola (June 15-21)
- Hoothoot (June 22-28)
- Pidove (June 29-July 5)
They will take over Power Spots for one hour on Mondays 6:00-7:00 PM local time.
