Mech Infinity, the web3 battle royale game based on the Axie Infinity universe, has announced its biggest update yet.
The team has revealed that it has successfully integrated the Ronin Network into its mech-based game, allowing players to connect their wallets and see their digitally owned Axies in action piloting the mechs.
Mech Infinity is part of Sky Mavi's Builders Program, which allows players to create their own games based on the Axie universe. The game is one of the selected games alongside another Axie-based game called Across Lunacia.
What the update brings
Players can connect their own Axies using their personalized web portal and simply connect their Ronin wallets. This will allow them to see their own 3D-rendered Axie piloting their mechs in the game.
For players who don’t own Axies, there is a free-to-play option with public-neutral Axies. This means players can still play despite not having Axie NFTs, allowing an easier onboarding process for all kinds of gamers, especially web2 gamers. However, these Axies are still on the blockchain, so they will contribute to Mech's statistics.
The team behind Mech Infinity has taken into account how players' Axies will look in the game. They have added fun animations and have 3D rendered the Axies in the purest origins style so that players can easily identify them
From 2D to 3D
The successful integration of the Ronin Network into Mech Infinity is a significant milestone and a huge step for the team. It will make the game more fun and fulfilling for players who own Axies, as they can now see their beloved creatures in action within the game.
Final Thoughts
Mech Infinity is further cementing its place in the web3 Axie Infinity-based games. Its recent integration with Ronin Network will be a catalyst for even more exciting features and updates as development progresses.
