After years of speculation, Injustice 3 may finally be real. There are reports and insider information that NetherRealm Studios might be in active development of the next sequel of its successful DC fighting game.

Although it has not been confirmed by Warner Bros., there have been recent Injustice 3 leaks, and the fans are overly excited. Now, we are going to cover all that we know about the possible progression of the game Injustice 3.

Why The Leaks Think That An Injustice 3 is in Development

The major leaks concerning Injustice 3 began from the strangest of places, LinkedIn. A Warner Bros. artist accidentally confirmed its creation via his resume and LinkedIn profile. MP1ST reports that the profile lists Injustice 3 alongside other major upcoming titles like Hogwarts Legacy 2.

They did not reveal the identity of the artist to protect their employment. But we can clearly see the projects being developed. This sent the community into a frenzy. Further fueling the fire, George Newbern, who voices Superman in the Injustice series, also dropped a hint.

During a fan interaction at a recent Comic-Con, Newbern let it slip that the “Man of Steel” isn’t finished with this universe just yet. While he couldn’t speak officially, his comments were able to spark rumors that Injustice 3 was in development.

Although there is neither an official launching schedule nor even a trailer, history can inform us when Injustice 3 is going to be released. In the past, NetherRealm Studios works with a 3-4 year development cycle.

This may put the possible release date between 2026 and 2027 following Mortal Kombat 1 in 2023. There are some who propose 2028 in the event of development delays.

What To Expect From Injustice 3

The Injustice 2 credits gave the audience one of the biggest cliffhangers, especially in the Superman Ending. The credit ends with the Man of Steel taking advantage of Brainiac technology to brainwash Batman.

If Injustice 3 develops on this, we can expect to see a multiverse war. Analysts suggest that it could feature a battle between a timeline where Batman emerged victorious and a timeline where Superman was the ultimate ruler.

It is rumored that the cast will include characters who are part of the Watchmen universe, Peacemaker (after appearing in MK1), and even more obscure members of the Justice Society of America.
