Roots of Ruin Official Launch

Roots of Ruin, the most recent addition for the tactical card game Gods Unchained, was made available on February 17, 2026. The new tribe and new mechanisms in the update alter the way decks are constructed. Battle Pass Season 11 also begins on this day. When combined, these additions transform the competitive field and revitalize the Faenar world.

The Everborn, a primal force in the Eucosian world, rises to prominence in Roots of Ruin. This organism multiplies by rewriting the land itself, and it existed before the ruling gods. The Everborn function as a largely Neutral group, in contrast to previous tribes associated with a single deity. Players can thus team them with any deity to enable a variety of tactics.

New Cards and Competitive Impact

The expansion adds 44 new cards designed to shift the current meta. These cards encourage creative deck building and reward experimentation. Some support control tactics, while others push aggressive play. Because the Everborn tribe is Neutral, it blends easily with existing archetypes and opens room for hybrid builds.

Players can obtain Roots of Ruin cards through three limited envelope types. Booster packs cost 1.99 US Dollars with 20,000 units available. Premium packs cost 19.99 US Dollars with 1,500 units, while Shiny packs cost 199.99 US Dollars and are capped at 400 units. Sales last for 28 days or until supplies run out, after which a four week balance phase begins.

Crypto Infrastructure and NFT Ownership

Gods Unchained runs on Immutable X, a Layer 2 scaling network built for Ethereum. This setup enables fast trades without gas fees, which lowers entry barriers for players. The ecosystem revolves around the $GODS token, capped at 500 million units. Cards exist as NFT assets, so players retain full ownership and can trade them on supported markets.

The game follows a play and earn model that rewards skill and activity. Players receive Fragments from their first 10 matches each day. These Fragments convert into $GODS rewards based on rank and deck quality. Long-term collection growth is encouraged by the higher potential profits offered by rarer cards like Meteorite, Shadow, Gold, and Diamond.

Gods Unchained is a free-to-play game that emphasizes strategic combat. The six gods that players can select from are Light, Death, Nature, War, Magic, and Deception. Every deity has a special ability that influences choices made on the battlefield. Reducing the opponent’s god health to zero and effectively managing mana are essential for victory.

There are multiple play types and over 1,800 distinct cards in the game. A welcome set of 140 cards is given to new users, guaranteeing early access to playable decks. Mythic rank is rewarded for high tier players in Weekend Ranked events. The game’s early importance in cryptocurrency gaming is highlighted by the fact that it has more than one million registered players since inception.
