Refund Policy Update

For cosmetics connected to D4VD in Fortnite, Epic Games has added a unique refund option. Following reports of the artist being charged with serious crimes, the community reacted strongly, leading to this decision. Players now have more discretion over whether or not to return these things.

The refund mechanism is unique in that it doesn’t require refund tickets, which are typically scarce. If a player feels uneasy about keeping the cosmetics, they can take them out of their locker and get their entire V-Bucks back.

How to Request a Refund

Refund requests are processed immediately within the game’s settings, making them quick and simple to submit. Players must first open their profile and go to the settings menu before they can access the Account and Privacy area. The items that are eligible will subsequently be displayed under the “Return or Cancel Purchase” option.

When the D4VD cosmetics show up on the list, choosing them will result in a complete refund. The system handles the return immediately since these items are marked as special cases. This guarantees that players won’t experience the delays or limitations that typically accompany older purchases.

The refund option might not always appear in the in-game interface. When that occurs, players can use the official Epic Games website to get in touch with help. They must file a request under Fortnite support after logging into their account.

To expedite the procedure, “D4vd Cosmetic Refund” should be explicitly included in the request. Even if the automatic method fails, players can still get their reimbursements because support professionals have previously been authorized to handle these situations manually.

Items Eligible for Refund

The refund policy covers all cosmetics released as part of the D4vd collaboration. This includes popular items such as the Feel It emote and Trophy Drop emote. Jam tracks like Locked & Loaded and What Are You Waiting For are also included in the list.

These items are directly tied to the artist, which explains why they are part of the refund program. Players who purchased them individually should have no issue returning them under the current policy.

There is still some confusion regarding bundle purchases that include D4vd content. For example, certain bundles feature both collaboration items and unrelated cosmetics like the Camille skin. This creates uncertainty about whether the entire bundle qualifies for a refund.

This detail has not yet been officially clarified. It may be necessary for players who purchased bundles to carefully review their refund options or get confirmation from support.

Future of the Cosmetics

The return is still discretionary at this time, so users are free to decide whether or not to keep the stuff. The cosmetics will remain in their locker with other skins and stuff for those who do not ask for a refund.

But it’s unclear how these cosmetics will fare in the long run. It is improbable that these items will be added back into the Item Shop rotation given the current circumstances. The collaboration is anticipated to stay dormant in the future, despite the fact that no removal has been confirmed.
