Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone are about to get a midseason update! Early word has it that they might be among the most stacked updates ever. The wave of nostalgia and new features was already experienced in early April with the release of season 3.
Season 3 Reloaded would allow CoD to take it to the next level with updated maps, new weapons, a new experience in Zombies, and a popular mode reintroduced. Let’s look at everything new the update will bring.
Season 3 Reloaded Release Date and What To Expect
In case you have never experienced the seasonal updates of Call of Duty, Reloaded represents midseason releases that are intended to add new content to the game halfway through a season. Consider it a second wave of content, prior to Season 4.
Activision has now officially announced that Season 3 Reloaded will be released on or approximately April 30, 2026. All major regions have standard update times of Call of Duty. The download will be available at:
- 9:00 AM Pacific Time (PT)
- 12 PM Eastern Time (ET)
- 5 PM British Summer Time (BST).

New Multiplayer Maps and Modes Are Coming

Players who enjoy multiplayer are being given a combination of new settings and time-tested remasters to liven up the 6v6 and 2v2 skirmishes.
- Onsen (New Map): This is a miniature map that is located in a Japanese traditional hot spring. This map is specifically designed to support both 6v6 and 2v2 combat.
- Hacienda & Summit (Remastered): Two iconic maps from previous Black Ops titles are making their return as standard 6v6 maps, fully updated for the Black Ops 7 engine.
- Free Run Mode: Originally introduced in Black Ops 3, this parkour-style movement course returns. There will also be a Free Run event, where players can win new camos on their weapons through challenges.
- New LTMs: The update will include four temporary modes, one of them being a Call of Duty Endowment event during Military Appreciation Month.

Warzone is developing a new playlist that includes modes centered on a speedy action and party-game experience.
- Hot Pursuit (Avalon): This is a four-player squad mode inspired by the Blackout mode of the same name and is a cops and robbers game. Players can utilize police vehicles to track enemies or getaway cars to secure valuables. Respawning is enabled as long as one squad member remains alive.
- Prop Hunt Royale: A massive 24v24 version of the classic party mode set on Rebirth Island.

Zombies: A Brand-New Round-Based Map

After Treyarch promised to launch round-based content as part of their midseason updates, Season 3 Reloaded will feature an entirely new Zombies map. Although certain update details remain secret, this map will be the sequel to the current story of Dark Aether and a new special weapon, Siren.

Players can look forward to two final weapons as part of the Season 3 roster:
- Siren: A new special weapon for Black Ops 7.
- Katana: A new melee weapon.
The update also introduces a new “Heat Level” mechanic. By raising their Heat Level in matches, players can earn escalating bonuses such as faster movement, quicker weapon reloads, equipment refills upon enemy eliminations, and increased damage for headshots.
