The bug hunt is getting bigger, faster, and much more dangerous. Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 has been confirmed to launch this summer. Developers Cold Iron Studios shared a trailer that shows that the game builds on the 2021 hit third-person PvE shooter.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 will have a larger squad size, new enemies, more intense battles, and some upgrades that the fans have been requesting. This is all you should know before your next mission in Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2.

Bigger, More Cinematic Action

The jump to four-player co-op allows for more elaborate tactical formations and specialized marine roles.

The trailer features a huge focus on grand action. Narrow corridors with swarming aliens, heavy weapons fraying, and explosions are to be expected. You can now synchronize team strategy more from the iconic Aliens movie of 1986 by James Cameron.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 also looks visually more detailed than the first title. Every environment in the trailer is just visually stunning. You’ll get more industrial facilities, dark alien-infested interiors, and large outdoor battle zones filled with Xenomorph activity.

The trailer also shows some great mobility and close-quarters combat scenes. Some early previewers mention stun batons and aggressive melee tools. With them, players can fight off enemies at close range when overwhelmed.

New Enemies and Better Horde Mode

Visually stunning and claustrophobic environments heighten the tension in this summer’s most anticipated co-op shooter.

An Aliens game would not be complete without the eponymous threats. The sequel has an enormous choice of new types of Xenomorphs that will push players out of their comfort zones.

The game will also be released with Horde Mode and exclusive maps to highlight these new threats. These maps are best for wave survival. And that extra marine you get will come in handy to earn more rewards as the challenge increases.

Another huge addition in Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is four-player co-op. Although the original game had three players, the sequel amplifies the chaos. This extra marine enables more elaborate tactical formations and specialization.

Specialist: Ultimate Customization

When the swarm gets too close, new aggressive melee tools like stun batons help keep the Xenomorphs at bay.

The Specialist is a new class. It is a customizable hybrid class, unlike the strict roles of the first game. The Specialist class gives players the freedom to combine major and minor skills from any available class.

With the specialist, you can now create the most extreme combinations in Fireteam Elite 2. The Specialist will enable you to have a medic who can drop heavy turrets or a scout with demolition-grade firepower.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 Cross-Play and Platforms

The game will launch with full cross-play this summer. Developer Cold Iron Studios and publisher Daybreak Game Company want the Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 community to stay together.

You can play with your friends without worrying about the platform they game on. With your PlayStation 5, you can create teams with others on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) or Xbox Series X|S.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 Already Seems Like a Worthy Successor.

By increasing player count and doubling its customization with new classes, Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is looking to offer more than the original title. Initial previews reveal that Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is building upon the already great game and scaling it to a new generation of hardware. Be there or be square; this summer is going to get loud.
